So,
london1967 and I arrived home from a wonderful week in Malta and Gozo on Saturday evening, and it's back to the chilly weather that seems relentless this winter. The pilot announced, just before landing at Gatwick, that the ground temperature was zero degrees, and we sure felt it when disembarking in spite of being indoors. But at least it was sunny yesterday, and this morning!
The weather in Malta and Gozo was very mild, and sunny almost all the time, though fairly windy.... which meant it could be cool in the shade. Needless to say, there were a quite a few tourists donning shorts, vests and flip-flops - mainly Brits of course, who seem to disrobe at the first sight of the sun !! "Sprng Wardrobe" was the garb for the locals and other Mediterranean visitors, and quite rightly so !! lol.... I did at least take my thermals off for the week!
Anyway, the sun has been out here whilst we were away and has tempted a few spring bulbs to bloom in the garden, so it was a nice welcome home..........
My sister gave us the primrose about 3 years ago, it seems to survive being eaten every so often, and flowers a number of times through the year!
So it's back to real life this week !! I must say it's always a bit lonely during the day after having the lovely Franco to myself 24/7 for a week or so..... but he has to go to work (to keep me in the style I'm accustomed to !! LOL).
