The Party's Over !!

..... it certainly feels a bit like that this morning  !! I'm working my way through doing a big pile of laundry and listening to the radio (and reading online) people's thoughts of how the Olympics have gone and their thoughts on the closing ceremony last night. Plus, after a lovely weekend with the gorgeous london1967, it's always a bit dull on a Monday !

Oh, and what is cream tea? Just tea with cream? Or something zingier?

I'm not sure what I expected, but I thought London's handling of the Olympic ceremonies was outstanding. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed the exuberance and sense of fun much more than the overly technical, designed-solely-to-impress showiness of Beijing. So, I say well-done.

Agreed - Annie Lennox was a highlight, but I loved the Pet Shop Boys. Oh, and of course the featuring of many iconic British automobiles during that number (I did wonder if BMW, who own Mini, was a sponsor or something because of all the new BMWs peeking in on the show....)

It was, and the volunteers certainly got rousing support from everyone and rightly so.

Oh yes, I forgot the mention the PSBs, they were fun !

The newspapered vehicles were great fun too !
