I'm doing a play in the first time in what feels like forever!!!
I'm really excited actually, I got in this off-off-browadway show (read: in the theatre district but low budget small theatre) called "the fertility factor" , its an exploration of how far people will go for ther dreams of having the "typical" family. but its my first play in the city which is exciting to me even though its nothing big. I'm playing 2 smaller roles, a girl ironically named Rachel, who's only in one scene, and then later on I'm a loopy hotel bellhop who used to be a lawyer but burned out in 10 years and her therapist told her this would be a more satisfying job (which is the more fun of the 2 roles) its only a 5 person cast, which is why i am 2 people.
Theyre willing to work around my business hours too, most weekday rehearsals start at 6pm , so they didnt care i would be a bit late... only thing that sucks is the photo shoot for the postcards and ads etc is monday when i'll be in DC on business all day, so I won't be in any of the pics except in the program.. oh well!
The Fertility Factor is playing July 21-24 at the Producers Club on west 44th street, so i hope I see some of you there! ;)
Acting makes me so happy.... I wish I could afford to do it full time :(
