ok, so if anyone didnt know, my friend kate's been renting our spare bedroom for the past 8 months or so... halfway through this month she realised she could niot afford a deposit on anywehere for herself to rent so shed move home for a couple months to save up... fine, great- we have a real home again /no roomate!!
anyways she came to move her shit out today, the 23rd, and is demanding that I pay her back 1/2 of her april rent cos she was only there 2 weeks..... now, even though I never made her sign a lease, it doesnt fucking work like that!! right? I've been letting her stay here for mad cheap (only $600/month)as compared to anywhere else she would have found... and now she wants like 300 bucks from me cause she decided to move her shit out on the 23rd instead of the 30th?!?! what the FUCK is that about? PLUS she still owes me $133 from March's bills.... which she doesnt understand is for march not april, cause she usually pays the rent for the upcoming month w/ the bills that came the paost month all in one check on the 1st, so not only does she want me to pay her cause she decided to leave early, seh wants to skip out on last months bills..... would this be worth sending her a court letter over? or no cause we never had a lease or anything it was just a sublet type situation.
let me know if anyone has any ideas...I am so annoyed that she is so fucking STUPID!!!
