now with the new team of writers this will probably turn out to be a more solid season than the first one
I'll forever bear a grudge though....
and - unpopular opinion - I really don't dig the spirit monster shit that's gonna be the main stuff in the second season
I'd probably be okay with it in some other random cartoon but I really don't see those monster thingies fitting into the Avatar world...
spirits ok, spirits would be great, but spirits always were ghosts or some kind of energy and not....literally monsters
that's my main URGH NOPE beef about the show apart from the usual shit....
I'm still going to watch it
I just have no expectations whatsoever anymore, maybe that'll make it easier for some unexpected, happy surprises coming my way
like, maybe I'll end up liking it more than I might think but....
from a loathing and brooding start point almost anything not super badly fucked up will have that effect I guess....
I'll at least be able to enjoy the animation quality, yay....
