I'm definitely a masochist
I have no warm water today again (yesterday neither though I did get it back for a few hours)
my computer is forever a bitch
to end this post on a good note, what follows are things that made me happy today:
I saw a steam engine driving by today and the locomotive driver waved at the people on the platform
I was the only one waving back so he waved even harder - JUST FOR ME!
I don't care if everyone else thought I was childish, it was a pretty sight and I loved the guy for those few seconds, khihihi <3
when I went to buy some groceries I stood at a cash point where a granny didn't manage to type in her pin for paying by card, it took a while and in the end it turned out the pin was right after all....it was just the wrong card XD for once I wasn't annoyed, I had time and the granny was kind of adorable and I felt sorry for her
the other people in the row all had "clever" remarks to make but I just kept smiling, because I was chill and I like that the whole thing had a punch line xD the cashier was also smiling all the time, she was lovely
I bought myself apple pie and strawberry cake just because I wanted to
my father was devastated when I arrived at my parents' place, he said he was trying to figure out how to get the paper from portrait to landscape format in open office and that he has been trying to figure that out for the last two days XDDD;
I was like "OMG DAD you have to learn how to google your problems, srsly" and then I showed him how to change the format in three clicks and his face was priceless XDDD;
when I got to my parents' place there was an old man standing right in front of the door with his bags placed on the steps as he was taking a break on the steep hill, I walked a bit more slowly because I don't like it when I have to say "I'M SORRY CAN YOU LET ME THROUGH PLEASE?" but he felt me approach and turned around so I just smiled nicely and pulled out my key
I just wanted to tell him that he can leave his bags there but he was hasty to make way for me, poor old man D:
I thanked him for being so nice and that I'm sorry for my timing and he said something funny
then I wished him a nice day and he sounded so happily surprised at my kindness when he wished me the same, maybe I made his day by being nice to him? I sure hope so :D
I sometimes wonder what I am actually living for when everything sucks
but all I need to be happy is people being nice to each other
it's really sad that people are surprised when you are nice to them, it really shouldn't be that exceptional
