So, it's been a while I know. I tend to ramble more on facebook than here these days, though I do check in daily.

I've been practically living in the Urban Fantasy track -- much as I did last year -- and it's been eye-opening this year.

Last year was a lot of "ooo shiny" as I got to hear from authors I've read and/or admired from afar for years.

This year I LISTENED to what they were saying when it came to advice.

And right now I kind of hate ALL of them, but most especially Myke Cole.

He provided some the best advice for a writer that I have ever heard.

Sadly this means some MAJOR rewrites for my novel.

And I haven't even finished the first draft.

That said, I want to thank every single one of them for their time and advice. Their willingness to talk and and teach us, and I look forward to seeing all of them again next year.
