one down, two to go
So, the mookling's first regional competition was last weekend, and she (and the whole company) did most excellent.
Rankings for the dances are (low to high) bronze, silver, gold, elite gold, platinum, and platinum plus.
Five of the mookling's dances took platinum and the sixth took platinum plus. Along with assorted other awards (like first in age group, division, etc.). It was both fun and tiring. Getting home at 1030 p.m. Sunday night and having to be at work at 4:30 a.m. Monday wasn't so much fun, but I managed.
Next Regional is April 24-26 and I'm taking Monday off as well, since the return trip is a three hour drive. I really don't want to be at work at 0430 after a three hour drive home. Oh, yeah, it's in Ft. Lauderdale this time, not Lakeland. Though I did learn I coud do the hour plus dirve to Lakeland in forty mintes when motivated enough.
I am going to try and borrow a laptop for that trip to stay in better contact that weekend, but no promises.
