Ah, if only it worked out this way. I do like that you found a way for the damaged person Tom is, with his kind of edginess, to be DRAWN to Light magic for its mysteries and power, just as he had been drawn to Dark magic. It's not just the value of his mentor but that combined with learning more and thinking about what he's learning. A very nice parable.
Oh, I enjoyed this very much! It always disturbed me that Dumbledore saw all the dark elements of Tom Riddle's personality, but seemed to make no effort to try to lead him in another direction. Thank you for another excellent story!
