Fascinating! I've read a hell of a lot of HP AUs over the years, more than any other fandom; while there are plenty of familiar elements here, you seem to have managed to weave them into an ultimately unique premise. So far, the only thing that struck me as really weird is the Malfoys accepting a half-blood son or daughter-in-law, honor debt or not. Well, we'll see- I look forward to figuring out the truth with Draco.

Thank you!

The Malfoys had a reason for accepting the original contract. They are no longer as pleased, but like Draco says, honor won't allow them to break out or even really complain in public.

...such a mystery...why would they hide Harry and send him away? It is not something that both James and Lily will do...even with portkey and others, separating Harry from their love and only caring for daughters do not match with their characters...

I do want to know this Harry, will he be spiteful because he gets no real love from his parents?

There's a reason. Draco won't think it adequate, but it definitely was for Lily and James.

Harry will be understanding, but bitter. He doesn't have much of a relationship with his family anymore.

Hmm, I'm thinking the scar on Harry's forehead exists here, so he might be considered deformed. Where is Sirius? Would this Lily have sent Harry to live with Petunia? That seems cruel. Maybe they were ashamed of Harry's damage. But surely he has magic? So many questions! This will be fun. Oh, and I'm with Draco, Dahlia is creepy in her shallowness, which makes me think James and Lilly are not perfect parents. Maybe they feared Voldemort was reincarnated in Harry, or had possessed him? Minor mysteries indeed! Tuesdays will be more interesting now. :-)

Not Petunia. He's out of the country.

There's also a reason for why Dahlia acts that way. You'll hear it later.

Thank you!

This is the most intriguing story I've read in a long time!
I'm very interested in why Harry was sent away, and its effect on him. Can't wait to see how this unfolds.

Thank you!

You get to see some of the effect, although not the reason, next chapter.
