Snape wants to help all the abused students in Hogwarts? Colour me surprised! On the other hand, I wonder why Dumbledore wouldn't do anything to help them. Harry's in a special situation, but the other students aren't. Tbh, I don't see Lucius very worried about other students, but I guess he'd leap at the chance to cause Dumbledore some trouble.

Love to see Draco and Harry are still in good terms.

Yes, Lucius's motivations aren't the best, but Severus didn't expect them to be, so he isn't unpleasantly surprised. :)

As Severus explains to Lucius, part of why he wants to do this is revenge. There's also Harry, and there's also just irritation at Dumbledore's insistence that he can't help them. As for why he won't help them, it has to do with Dumbledore's over-valuing the family unit to the point that he can't see why it might sometimes be better for children to live elsewhere. That'll get explained in a later chapter.

Espionage! Rescuing children! Snape is so good here. Love the invisibility cloak in the library. Hermione is not yet the cool, calm person she becomes. It is fun trying to recall the details from the books that you are working around here.
