Thanks! This promises to be one of the more plotty stories I've written. In others, the action had one main impetus (like escaping an enemy or conducting a divorce). This has several, and they're not all connected.
Ehh? I thought PWP was "Plot, What Plot?" as in, the the fic is all sex, so there's no real plot. xD At least, those are what all the PWP fan fics I've read are about... sex, and more sex. Haha.
This story is really interesting me! I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Something a little random that I've been wondering about for some time now is whether the thing someone hates most about them self can change... like, how is Hermione ever going to know when she should go off the potion if she's never directly dealt with the depression? Will she just take the potion one day and realise that the depression isn't the thing she wants to change the most about herself because it's now helping her with some other aspect than depression? And it makes me wonder what might happen if what Harry hates most about himself were to somehow change and leave him scrambling with feelings... anyway, I know you probably can't answer these questions right now, but I was just so curious that I had to ask.
I think in this case it still means that; the unexpected meaning is just being used ironically. :)
And thank you!
That's a really interesting question. And yes, Hermione would only know if she realized that the potion was now suppressing something different. However, she could probably test this by taking a little less of the potion in one dose and seeing what happened.
Harry thinks, at least, that the feelings he hates most are unlikely to change.
I don't think that Hermione really thought this through, she still needs Desire badly. If Desire goes illegal that brings a great deal of disavantages to her, not to mention Harry too. There's a lot of ways to go with the legal/ethic aspects of this potion, I don't envy you in choosing wich one :P
Hermione is thinking more of very tightly regulating Desire. She doesn't really believe the committee will just up and declare the potion illegal; Draco and Harry can still prevent that if they work at it. She's just anxious that Harry not decide beforehand that illgality is likely and promise to support Draco no matter what.
Oh, but I envy me! (Wait, that didn't make sense...) There's so much to do!
Thank you! With this one, it sometimes feels like riding a runaway horse, with so many plots springing up everywhere, but on the other hand it ensures that the plot won't enter a single political rut.
