Love the name! Finally a basilisk is called something descriptive and FUN, rather than ominous/portentious/mythological.

I haven't read a lot of other stories with different basilisks from Slytherin's. The mythological names are the most common?

Actually, I meant those fics where Slytherin's pet gets named. Can't recall specifics OTOH, but when it's not something with Meaning! ("Sangre" comes to mind), the authors often seem to go for Latinate or Greek-based names -- hence "mythological". :) (Might have been a misnomer -- I was tired, sorry!)
