I loved to see Lucius changing his mind about Harry. I didn't know about weregilds, it was interesting.

I liked the conversation between Lucius and Narcissa and I think it helped Harry to see Lucius under a different light, more human, maybe. And it's sort of sweet to see how much Lucius respects Narcissa.

Great chapter!

Thank you!

Weregilds are an idea that I have to admit might not apply to the wizarding world, actually, but I think it's an interesting one, and would work in this case.

Yes, Harry does see Lucius as more human now. And probably he wants to; he'd like the assurance that he's not going to be tortured while under Lucius's care.

But then the other stories would not be updated as often! :)

Thank you. I don't know if even Lucius, Draco, or Harry realize quite how much she does make them do what she wants.

I understand the feeling! A worthy component is as good as a friend.

Lucius is not much used to that feeling, which is probably why it took him a while to recognize it.

Lucius did a 180 there. Good for him. He is aware of diverging paths and that he is on one where Voldemort did not win, which changes a lot of things. I like his respect for Harry; that's really what changed his mind. Narcissa could have manipulated him into good behavior but he soon enough found his own rationale for it. That's pretty cool.

Thank you!

Well, perhaps Narcissa knew he'd find one and didn't try as hard to manipulate him as she otherwise could have. ;)
