Yes, he is holding onto that pain and internalizing it more than he needs to, but it explodes out- somewhat- in the next chapter.

Harry and Ginny discuss some alternatives in the next chapter. The problem is that Ginny didn't grow up in the Muggle world and is revolted by some of them, and Harry doesn't want to just raise Ginny's children; he either wants a child of his own blood or one that's completely adopted, and Ginny still wants to have her own children.
