Poor Draco... The fic is interesting but Harry's being a complete asshole to Draco.

When they say that the House is going to swallow Harry, what do they mean exactly?

It's not entirely his fault, but it is not being helped by his behavior.

They mean the house will eat Harry's personality and give him a generic Black one.

Yes. I think a lot of the old pure-blood families were obsessed with blood more than actual children, and the thought that a generation might end up with heirs like Sirius and Regulus, who both defied the blood purity their children wanted for them, would have been horrible to them.

welp, this chapter answered my question-- i don't think harry's gonna escape it and even if he did find something, it'll be too late-- he'll probably learn to just accept it, or maybe he'll just be a blend of both a Black and a Potter.

Draco's not that hopeful, but this is Harry Potter, to whom stranger things have happened.

It must be, but he doesn't get all the horror, because he's under the influence.

Thank you!

I wasn't expecting Draco to have to be obedient to Harry. Really great continuance. I'm glad, however, that while he might not be able to lie (if asked for the truth), he is still able to have some measure of fight in terms of the dark things Harry does (like when he was able to fight back when Harry tore through his mind). Awesome job.

Thank you!

Draco has to obey direct orders, but Harry won't necessarily think to ask all the things he would have if he was still "normal."
