Wow, this Dumbledore isn't just Machiavellian, he's evil. The Dumbledore in Harry's real world wouldn't use that kind of spell because he's "too noble" according to McGonnagal. But if Harry has the elder wand, that wand knew so many spells, spells that even Voldemort didn't know. I think this Dumbledore is in for a nasty surprise if he comes up against Harry.
Does this D have an elder wand? You know what, even if he does there is always finite incantatum... because the wands would be twins. And wouldn't it be interesting to see what pops out of Albus' wand. And wouldn't it be interesting if other people saw it too, because I'd bet my bottom dollar that it isn't anything he wants out in the open.
I don't know if wands themselves "know" spells, but I think it probable that the Elder Wand would give Harry an extra bonus when using powerful spells. Of course, since it wants to destroy things, Harry may have to think of himself as destroying things like wards or other people's curses to get it to help him.
Hmmm... for some reason I thought that in canon the elder wand wanted Harry to do some spells he hadn't done before. I didn't find that in the few minutes I'm taking to write this, but I did find this quote from Olivander...
"The wand chooses the wizard. That much has always been clear to those of us who have studied wandlore... If you are any wizard at all you will be able to channel your magic through almost any instrument. The best results, however, must always come where there is the strongest affinity between wizard and wand. These connections are complex. An initial attraction, and then a mutual quest for experience, the wand learning from the wizard, the wizard from the wand."
Maybe I read too much into the learning from the wizard thing. Plus it doesn't matter in the least if that's not the way it is in your story. Just explaining my wild theories. :D But learning that's how you see it gives me a specific perspective for this universe, so a helpful bit to know.
Dumbledore -- what a master manipulator. I can't help but wonder if the memory that Harry saw -- about getting a Slytherin Harry -- isn't just the thing that Dumbledore wanted him to see to get Harry to make the decision that he -- to stay and fight.
Hermoine -- I love the fact that this Harry won't give this Hermoine the time of day. Now if only he would recognize the same manipulations for what they are back in his world. (Why, yes, I do have issues with Hermoine and manipulations.)
Sirius -- what a dog.
Snape -- I love your memtoring Snapes and his internal dialogues -- how he justifiies his carrying for others (Harry) not because it is the right thing to do -- but because he benefits him and his agenda with Dumbledore -- Slytherin to the core.
HArry -- This, I think, is your strongest Harry. Me like.
Harry is worried about that, but, well. He can't distrust everything Dumbledore does and says, and at least he can make sure that the fight is on his own terms.
I don't think I actually write Hermione very well, so most of the time she comes off as more manipulative and bossy than I think she really is in the books.
Yes, Snape can justify it, still. There may come a time when he's unable to do so.
Strong? In what ways? I do think most stubborn and angriest, definitely.
