You know, this story is really out there in the genre of your typical Harry/Draco, but I really love it. Draco's son is wonderful even if he is a selfish little brat that blurts out all of daddy's secrets.
I feel so bad for poor Harry, and only hope that Draco will be able to see past his scars soon.
God, Draco can be such a hypocrit! And an idiot! I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle him in parts of this. He convinced Harry not to go through with Auror training, when that training could have saved him the scarring? I've felt like banging my own head against my desk while reading some of your stories before. This time, I want to bang Draco's head against something hard. At least he was forced to realise that he does still have feelings for Harry. That's like a half-step forward.
And Scorpius was absolutely perfect! He made me laugh out loud with his "saved the world" comments and the way he remembered the day of the week that he talked to his mother about Harry and Draco. That was absolutely precious.
To be honest, Draco will never see it like that. He doesn't think Auror training would have given Harry an edge at all when the Death Eaters captured him; it was his magic that went wild and saved him in the end, rather than Auror training of any kind. But I can see your point.

Ok, I give in. Usually I only read finished fics, but since you update so often and have yet to touch on any of my squicks ... I figured what the hell. P:
I can see where both of them are coming from, of course, but I think I'm actually more inclined to take Draco's side at the moment.
Harry's insisting on staying ugly when casting a glamour is so easy seems somewhat unreasonable to me. It's not that different from putting on make-up or wearing nice clothes or making sure your hair is clean and neat in order to make yourself look better. And while not loving someone anymore because they've been disfigured would be shallow, I think that not being physically attracted to them would be perfectly understandable. And in most romantic relationships physical attraction is very important

Harry would have been willing to give Draco time to get over his physical disgust. But the immediate (as he saw it) rejection of him personally, as if he had asked to be tortured, was what made him walk away. Nevertheless, I agree that Draco's reaction is pretty easily understood, and I'd be hard put to do any better in the same situation.
Since the Healers have told Harry nothing will ever suffice to disguise or heal his injuries, he sees being asked to put on glamours as stupid and insulting- rather like someone asking a person in a wheelchair to please sit in an ordinary chair so that no one has to think of them any differently. But his main reason is that Draco wouldn't really put up with or be satisfied with the glamours, no matter what he says.

I suspect Draco might not think Scorpius is that wonderful at the moment. :)
It will take a few more pushes for Draco to get to that point, but he's steadily (slowly!) approaching it.
