Perhaps a change of scenery?
I have been thinking, for a while, that LJ isn't want it used to be. The paid vs. free account stuff is now annoying. I do like a lot of the lj communities I follow, but I've been thinking I need just a normal blog. We'll see, I guess.
So yesterday I wrote my Personal Statement for my grad school applications. This time the draft is actually sticking. By that, of course, I mean that I don't feel the need to crumple it up and throw it in the garbage. I actually have something to work with there. I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel in that I feel sure I will finish all my applications by November 1st like I originally planned.
I still need to study math, and that's a bit unfortunate, but at least it's just one thing to do as opposed to a huge number of things looming over my head, threatening to crush me. I've been so stressed lately! But getting the personal statement and the academic CV out of the way has helped a lot. I'm almost there. Just a little ways more to climb. :)
