There's a tired aura to him, both in the literal and metaphoric sense; he looks as if he hadn't gotten a good night's rest in days, which, in fact, was true. The lack of sleep wasn't what bogged him down, however

[A soft hand touches his shoulder, hoping not to surprise him too hard. But she needed to see him as soon as she was back, and needed to know she had come back to the right time. Her head was still spinning from the experience... maybe he was like this for entirely different reasons. Who knew how long she was gone and what happened when she left?]

[The feel of her hand gave him a small start, and he glanced up, expecting it to belong to Genkai, or Arc, or someone who had been left behind from the event. The voice registered at the same time he saw her face, and his own features melted into an expression of shocked relief.]

...Makoto. You...you're back.

[Smiles a little, though is worried. That look and tone... she wasn't gone that long, was she? And would he remember the altered timeline?]

[Letting out a shakey breath, he adjusts himself on the sand, giving her room to sit next to him if she so desired.]

...a few days. Nearly a week, even.

I'm so glad... that whole thing was so messed up, you may not even believe what I'm going to tell you.
