Finally in Paris

Sep 07, 2005 18:28

Hello everybody, I'm finally settled in Paris... well, almost. After 3 days loading, unloading, unpacking, assembling furnitures and cleaning, I was exhausted but the appartement was finally mine and I spent my first week-end in my new home. The weather is really very good for the season, almost too hot for all the things I've got to do.
Since monday, I've been spending my time unpacking my remaining boxes and working on the decoration. I also spent some time exploring the area. I really love the neighbourhood, it's full of bars, restaurants, great shops and there even are some green places. Oh and there's a Starbucks a couple feets from my place!! Can you believe that!! :D That's cool. :) So of course the flat is very small and the floor is still covered with miscellaneous stuff but it's my home sweet home and I think I'll be fine here.

The only back point is that my DSL account hasn't been transferred and with my 56k connection, I can't spend too much time online. I've tried to catch up a little on my flist but pages take forever to load and it's driving me crazy.

The French mail messed up with my mail transfer. They sent my mail to my new adress one week BEFORE my moving... dumbasses! So alll the letters that arrived during this week were sent back to the sender. I'm so pissed of right now especially since I paid nearly 20€ for this service and that they're not able to read correctly a simple date on a contract. I know I repeat myself but... dumbasses!!
It seems that one of those letters was coming from Canada so ellefraser, if it was from you, don't be surprised to receive it back. Sorry in advance about that and don't worry, I've not said my last word about this problem. There are going to hear from me again very soon and I won't let them go like that with my money, no way!! Grrr!!!

I've been following all this terrible events in louisiana and Mississipi and I'm really thinking of all those people there. What a tragedy. It seems like Mother earth is making us pay lately for all the harm we did (and keep doing) to her.
I don't think that any of my friends live in those regions but I'm sending good vibes overseas anyway.

That's it for now. May be I'll post some pics of my street or my neighbourhood one of these days (but I'll need my DSL to upload them). I promise I'll be there more often for all of you now. I've really missed you all. I realized it even more strongly while reading my flist today, I didn't remember how much I loved this thing! :) I feel like I really missed A LOT and that really makes me sad.

I need to dye my hair now and may be take a bath to relax a little. I can't recover from all this fatigue and I really need to do something if I don't wanna look like shit for my first day at work on monday! :-P If you've got magical recipes, please forward them this way!! :D

Later all! :)

PS : kim1989, your online greeting card cracked me up this morning. I really wasn't expecting that... thank you for the good laugh! ;)
PS bis : My vision is all blurred and my brain a blank space so forgive me in advance for this post if it's incomprehensible.
PS ter : I need a Paris icon now! :-P
