DUDE.
Okay, so I have a couple friends at school, and they've been talking about this show called "Glee" for a while now. They have been trying and trying to get me to watch it for like...a month now, but since I'm kind of lazy, I only just watched it last week-ish. I didn't really know what to expect aside from lots of music, so I was kind of iffy going in. Wasn't sure if I'd like it that much.
I spent the entire afternoon watching it. OH. My God. That show is freaking ADDICTIVE. If you do not watch it, then...well...
SERIOUSLY. Check it out. Go on Hulu. Watch what they have up. Then frantically Google-Search for the first 5 or 6 episodes, because the fall finale is THIS WEDNESDAY, and it's not coming back until APRIL. APRIL. DAMN YOU AMERICAN IDOL. But Season One DVD comes out on December 29th, and Vol. 2 of the soundtrack comes out Dec. 8th. That is like...top of my Christmas list. Not going to lie.
AS you can tell, I am so obsessed with this show it isn't even funny. Like, this is the real deal. The characters are awesome (Except Rachel needs to STFU sometimes. LET MERCEDES AND TINA SING) and it's so funny and dramatic and awesome that it makes me squee a little bit.
And then...there's Artie.
HOLY FRICK ON A STICK. THAT KID IS SO FREAKING AWESOME. He's a guitar virtuoso, he's got a fantastic voice (BEST. MALE SINGER. ON THE SHOW.), and he's the best dancer in the group while being in a wheelchair. All of this awesome is just rolled into one awkward package that you just want to hug and squeeze and love! I mean, come on. He tucks his sweaters into his pants and wears a belt AND suspenders, and he always looks adorable. How could you NOT love this kid?! He doesn't talk much (shame), but when he does he's got these little one-liners that just make you laugh your ass off. Especially in Episode 6 ("Vitamin D"). Seriously. "We're planning on smacking them down like the hand of God" is pretty much my new favorite phrase. EVER. And then there's Episode 9. Oh, Episode 9.
It's basically all about Artie, but there's bits about Kurt as well, and Kurt is pretty much a gangster too. But seriously. His solo song? He kills it. I love it so, so much. And then he just cements his place as that awkward kid in Glee Club that you just...you HAVE to love him. It also made me realize that he and Tina would be adorable together - IF THE WRITERS GAVE TINA SOME DEVELOPMENT. JESUS CHRIST LET THE GIRL TALK.
ANYWAYS. As you can tell, this show is taking over my mind. Go listen to the soundtrack, watch the episodes, become a Gleek.
ONE OF US. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.
