14-3 BABY.
it's sad how late in the season it will be til i can get myself to a game this year, but my undying love will carry me through the hard times.
in other news, monday night was my new pal
billetdoux's birthday at 151. it was pretty awesome. not working yesterday meant being able to stay out til 3:30am on a monday-tuesday for what i think was the first time ever in my whole life. maybe he will post some pictures from the evening, a few of which involve my vodka-heavy eyelids. i just know it.
clairemn arrives from the ATL this evening! or rather, she's already arrived, but i have not seen her yet. whatever. tonight we are dining with the family werner, one member of which better watch out because he's so cute i might eat HIM for dinner.
otherwise, there will be much gallavanting and merriment and riding of the chinatown bus to boston. incriminating photographs to follow.
i have an interview tomorrow afternoon for a research assistant position at the new york public library which, if i get it, will employ me through the end of 2007, count as my internship for my program, and PAY ME. this would be pretty super, seeing as i leave my job in just over two weeks and have absolutely no plans regarding cash flow thereafter.
lastly, the hair will be chopped the week after my sister's wedding. not that this is so important to you people, but anyone who knows me understands a) how long my hair is right now, and b) that long hair has been a staple of my being since i was a kid. it's a big deal. but i'm on a precipice these days, really. i feel like change is happening, in really good ways, and long hair is something familiar and comforting that feels like a physical manifestation of my lingering fear of change. i don't want to fear change any more. so. chop chop.
anyway, back to work. COFFEE IS MY FRIEND.
