WHO: Toni and Rodi Antonio, Roderich, Lenna, Kim (open to anyone else as always~) WHERE: Museum of Contemporary Art WHEN: Sunday Noon WHAT: Tour and Tea
YOU'RE HURTING HIS FEELINGS!notaustralianJuly 26 2009, 08:19:03 UTC
Roderich nodded at the acknowledgment of Kim. Talking about her would help pass the time and not make it look like Roderich was trying to figure out where they were.
"She is a lovely girl," he said, his eyes wandering all around him. They should really make arrows that point to the exit. He would be sure to bring that up at the next board meeting.
He paused when Antonio tugged his sleeve. He glanced at the hand briefly before he looked up at the man himself.
"Ah, yes, the elevator!" He subdued a cheer. Now he would just need to press a button and go to the conference room, where delicious tea and cakes await them.
He took the lead and stepped into the elevator. He had never used this particular elevator before, since he didn't frequent his part of the museum. Once they were both in the lift, he pressed for the right floor; at least he knew where things were!
The elevator door closed. It started to move up.
Then it stopped. Completely.
Roderich blinked at the buttons. They weren't at the right floor yet. He waited for the cart to move again, not wanting to jump to conclusion. But it didn't move.
"Antonio..." Roderich almost whimpered. "I think there is a problem with the elevator..."
I'M SORRY THAT I HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH!mustlovetomatoJuly 26 2009, 08:27:53 UTC
Antonio fallowed Roderich happily, glad that he had done something right when he heard just how excited Rodi was to find the elevator. Once inside though things didn't go as well as he had hoped. He felt the lift jerk to a stop and his gaze rose to the numbers that were supposed to tell them which floor they were on. However, the arrow seemed to be stuck in between the numbers and they weren't moving...at all.
And now it was starting to get hot. Not that the spanish native noticed, being used to heat much worse than this. Antonio turned to look back at Rodi when he heard just how scared he was.
"Is there?" He asked, pushing the button again as if that was going to help. He frowned lightly and clicked it a couple of more times only to find it not doing anything. Finally he just slipped his hands into his pockets.
"Well what are we supposed to do?" He asked with a curious expression as if this was something that happened every day.
YOU SHOULDN'T HURT THE ONE YOU LOVE!notaustralianJuly 26 2009, 08:34:10 UTC
Roderich was, fortunately, able to stay calm. Panicking, his upbringing had taught him, did not do anyone good. But that didn't mean he wasn't getting to scared. Misfortunes like these didn't usually happen to him.
And he had thought today was going to be a good day...
"It seems... the-the elevator is struck," he said calmly.
He stared up at the display and hoped for it to move. But the stuck light just sat there and taunted him. He turned to Antonio and sighed slowly.
"Maintenance should be aware of this. Someone should get us soon."
He pressed for the Alarm button, and an alarm did sound out. Then he leaned against the side of the cart and breathed as slowly and as little as he could. There was no telling how long it would take for someone to get them out.
What was that saying again. If there was any way that something could go wrong, it would? Antonio couldn't remember the exact saying right now but figured it fit the setting quite well.
"Well that's not good" Antonio said as he turned back to the elevator doors. He placed a hand to the cool surface as if that would somehow help and then pulling it back when Roderich leaned against the wall. He strode to the opposite corner and sat down, crossing his legs and leaning against the wall.
If they were going to be here for a while he might as well make himself comfortable. He even started to hum a gentle tune to himself. Either he didn't realize just how dangerous the situation was or it didn't phase him.
Roderich sighed and looked over at the panel. Hopefully someone would come help them out soon. Roderich wasn't about to spend more than necessary in an elevator. His heart jumped a beat when he suddenly thought of... No, no, he shouldn't think of things like that.
He watched Antonio sit down on the corner, completely nonchalant about their whole situation. He had to admit he admired that quality about his Spanish friend.
He decided to take a seat himself as well. Well... might as well get to know his friend better.
"How is school going?" he asked, his hands wandering up to his cravat and untying it.
"Good" Antonio said with a smile, not noticing that his friend was beginning to strip. He himself not even beginning to feel the heat. He leaned his head back against the wall of the elevator and let his smile slip, figuring that it didn't matter if he lost the facade for a moment. He figured that Roderich was too busy being worried about dying in the elevator to notice his facial expressions.
"Have you met many new people?" He asked, continuing the conversation. He remembered that when he had last spoken to the austrian the other man had recently moved to Liberty and thus didn't know very many people.
The Austrian is not a stripper.notaustralianJuly 26 2009, 08:59:30 UTC
"That's good to hear," Roderich said quietly, not really interested in holding a conversation actually. "What is that you study, maybe I can be of help?"
He glanced over to the lights again. Still no change. He sighed and shifted his neck. It was getting kind of stuffy in the lift. He folded his cravat into a neat square and placed it over his laps.
"I... I have met quite a few people," he said. Some new faces, some old faces. He winced at the memory of running into Vash of all people. The whole point of leaving Austria was not to run into his past.
"How about you, Antonio? You seem to be quite the pimppopular man."
