HONEY~ WE BE HOME mustlovetomato November 14 2009, 04:54:37 UTC
Antonio stepped off the elevator, his smile having slipped once the doors had closed. He wasn't completely happy and now that Romano had fallen asleep and he was out of the public's gaze he didn't have to pretend to be any longer. He walked slowly, knowing that Kim was probably home by now and Antonio hoped that she hadn't found the note.

However, when he pushed open the door and saw Kim he knew she had seen it and was a little more than slightly angry. He gently shook his head, giving her a look that said 'one moment' before heading into his bedroom. Once in the room, he gently set the Italian down on the covers. He frowned lightly to himself and tilting his head lightly. How much of the others cloths should he take off?
Now that was a good question.

Antonio opted for the safe side, pulling of Romano's shoes and socks first and then fallowing with the Italian's shirt. At the base of his gut he felt slightly guilty for going this far but knew it was just to make sure he was comfortable. Once he got the Italian's shirt off he quickly situated him so he was under the covers.

"buenas noches mi amor, duerme bien" He whispered gently before kissing the Italian on the forehead and then heading back out to the main living room where Kim was waiting. He took a deep breath and slipped his hands into his pockets slowly.

"Welcome home Kim" He offered with a half smile, knowing she was probably mad.

It didn't seem like Romano was in a talkative mood. She looked at the crumbled note on the table, and at Toni again.
" If that note's a joke, it's not very funny." she said, and looked towards the bedroom, then at the floor.

Why didn't he say anything? Why didn't they ask? She sighed, wishing they had. At least that Toni had asked. Romano was his freaking friend.
" Ngu ngốc..." she muttered to herself. What she wanted mostly, was to give Romano a hard slap, or even a punch for not telling them. She had wanted to ask him why he suddenly needed a place to stay, why he looked beat up, but she'd figured it wasn't her business. But at least Toni could've asked.

" The next time we decide to take in one of your friends, ask them if they're in trouble first." she said, and came closer.
" The freaking mafia, Toni!" she hissed. " What if they find him here!" she added, keeping a low, but angry voice.

Antonio felt wave after wave of guilt crash over him. First, he had hurt his best friend in the world, the one he wanted to have in his life for as long as possible. Next, he'd neglected to ask why exactly Lovi needed a place to stay and now he'd possibly put both Kimmy and himself in danger right beside Romano himself. And finally, he was dead afraid (though he'd never show it) that they would indeed find him here as Kim had put it. He didn't know if he could survive if something happened to either of his roommates.
Once Kim put his fear into words it was too much for the Spaniard.

"I'm so sorry" He whispered in a choked voice. He collapsed onto the couch, sitting in a ball with his knees pulled to his chest and his head on top of them. He'd been holding in his emotions far too much lately and when that happened generally he had a breakdown at some point.

"No sabía que sería este malo. ¡La mafia Kim! ¿Cómo estaba supuesto saber que era porqué él estaba aquí? ¿Cómo estaba supuesto rechazarlo? Incluso si él me había dicho tendría lo dejé permanecer aquí. Cuáles son supuse para hacer. Por favor, ayúdeme." And he'd reverted to spanish once more. His shoulders racked with sobs and he gave up trying to control himself at all. His hands clenched on the fabric of his pants and he bit his lip to keep from rambling again. He didn't know what he was supposed to do or even what he could do.
Why were things so complicated sometimes?

(Spanish: I did not know that it would be this bad. The mafia Kim! How was I supposed to know that was why he was here? How was I supposed to refuse him? Even if he had told me I would have let him stay here. What am I supposed to do. Please, help me.)

Seeing the happy, relaxed Spaniard burst into tears like this was not something Kim wanted. It made her feel even worse. She hated seeing friends cry. It just sucked.

" Toni...." she sighed, and didn't even bother telling him to talk English. Sure, she didn't feel to great, but... She wasn't the one crying. They could deal with Romano when he was awake and sober later.

" Shhh..." she sighed again, and pulled him closer, giving him a hug. What else could they do anyway? If the mafia found out where Romano were and came over to find him? Would they be in danger? And if they refused to tell them anything..... She didn't wanna think about it.

Antonio curled into a tighter ball when Kim hugged him though he did lean into her embrace. He wasn't used to having someone around when he cried. Honestly he could only think of one time before today that he had cried with someone around and that was in the distant past. A time that he would rather not think back on.

"I'm worried about him Kim. What if they find him? I-" His voice broke and he had to take a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down. Finally after a few minutes of steady breathing he managed to stop his crying, pulling back slightly from Kim and rubbing his eyes. He looked away, staring blankly at the floor in front of him.

"I don't know what I would do if he were hurt and I did nothing to stop it" He explained, placing his hands in his lap and balling them tightly into fists. "I know we're in danger too now that we know. But what do you expect me to do? kick him out? I can't do that Kim. I-If you want to move out I'll understand but I don't want you to go. You're like family to me now" He said gently, almost whispering at the end. He sighed deeply to himself and stopped talking, rubbing his eyes again.

" I'm not gonna move out. And I'm not gonna ask you to kick him out either." Kim said. That was true. Even though some people might do that, after learning a dangerous secret about someone, she couldn't. And even though Romano was a grumpy pain in the ass, she just couldn't help caring about him. Damn her and caring nature. Being friendly and curious at the same time wasn't that cool all the time. Cause now she secretly wanted to know why Romano's family would be involved with the mafia in the first place.

And it also just dawned to her.... Did that mean Feli was involved too?? But she couldn't say she knew, and from what she'd heard, he was also kicked out, but she wasn't sure where he was staying, only that he was staying with some German guy. Crap.... ' You gotta stop worrying, Kimmy...' she thought to herself.

" I'm sure he'll figure it out....." she said, a hand on his shoulder. " And.... If anything..... He's got you, right?" she said, with a little smile. " And I'm here too. Just in case."

Antonio listened silently, nodding to let her know that he had heard her. The spanish man realized what happened meant that Feli was in trouble too. His eyes widened ever so slightly but he bit his tongue and tried to keep his fears to himself. His anger at the Italian now asleep in his room had long since faded. Leaving behind a raw sense of fear that he hadn't felt in a long time.
He knew that even with all his talk of protecting Romano, if the mafia came to get him in full force there was nothing he could do. He would try like hell, but most likely it would end up with a shot through the heart. Literally.

"Thank you Kim. I-" His voice broke once more and he attempted to gain control once more. After a moment he managed to start again. "You don't know how much it means to have you here" He said, leaning over and wrapping his arms around her shoulders and pulling her close.
"Muchas Gracias" He whispered gently, smiling ever so softly despite the fact that he wasn't at all happy.

If Feli also was involved.... No, they couldn't let him know they knew now. Wouldn't that be too risky? Kim really didn't want them to find them. If they showed up at their door.... Would they be killed? Hurt? Probably asked where the Vargas brothers were hiding. If so.... What should they say? Putting Romano and Feli in danger wasn't really too tempting, but she couldn't help feeling a bit scared at the thoughts rushing through her head.

Hearing Toni say that, made Kim blush a bit, and she smiled, hugging him back, curling up in the couch next to him. It was really nice, and made her feel like she was important to him, which she really hoped she was, even after knowing each other for barely four months. At least he was important to her. Like a big brother. " You're welcome..." she whispered back, and sighed.
