Even daylight savings and an extra hour of sleep could not combat the compulsive need for caffeine. His throat still burned and ached from the scarred tissue that fleshed over it upon coming down with the common - oh, it was common! If Ivan didn’t get sick before November, he became quite concerned - Cold. A nagging voice in the back of his mind made him wonder for the slightest moment that his sanity was in tact why he was standing out in fifty degree weather on a late Monday afternoon waiting for a student that would not emerge from his economics class for another fifteen minutes.
A violent shiver perused the length of his spine. He sniffed sharply and buried the wind-chapped muzzle in the creases of his scarf, so dutifully draped about his neck and shoulders. The warm stagnant breath in the air pocket between his chest and scarf quickly thawed his nose a little, but coated it with moisture as a consequence, making the cool air that devotedly assaulted his nose after he raised his head magnify twofold.
Ivan snarled a little and pressed his back further against the black straight-out-of-that-Narnia-Movie lamppost that dotted the pathway leading up to Buckingham Hall. A few students were trickling down the pathway already.
