WHO: Elizaveta, Roderich
WHEN: Early Saturday evening (september 19)
WHERE: Elizaveta's apartment
WHAT: Celebrating Roderich's safe return home. And, no, it's not a date. Totally.

Apartment cleaned and straightened up: check.
Sachertorte: Cooled, frosted, and sitting on the counter.

Elizaveta stood in front of her full-length mirror and ran over her mental checklist again. She had been planning this evening since she had found out Roderich had finally come home from his business trip in California. Even though they didn't get together often due to their jobs and her going to school, Elizaveta still found that she missed the man terribly during his absence. When he had written that he was back in Liberty, the Hungarian felt a joy she still couldn't fully describe nor understand. She supposed that this was what it felt like to have a friend.

The no-sugar whipped cream, which she beat herself, was setting in the refrigerator. The coffee was brewing at this very moment. Her outfit...

Elizaveta sighed heavily as her thoughts returned to her reflection. The woman looking back was still wearing the baggy old t-shirt and jeans she wore while making the cake. Behind her, a pile of clothes covered what was her bed. She looked back at the pile and pulled out a blouse, holding it up in front of her for the third time. She scrutinized her reflection, put up her hair with her unencumbered hand, then sighed again as she threw the shirt back onto the bed. Normally, she was fine in just her plain, ordinary clothes. But the thought of Roderich, in his always immaculate jacket and cravat, sent her digging through her closet to find something a little more...becoming. Having found nothing of the kind, Elizaveta groaned and stepped back to sit on her already full bed. Roderich was going to be here in a few minutes, and she had nothing to wear! She was contemplating just forgoing a nice outfit when her head suddenly perked up.

There was one more thing

what are personal boundaries?, hungary, this is caketown!, status: complete, it's not what you think, awkwardness: i has it, i'm not copping a feel..., austria
