all the cool kids hang out at the mall

Nov 07, 2011 16:47

WHO: Emi and Elizaveta
WHEN: Monday, November 7th, noon
WHERE: The Mall
WHAT: In between snooping around for a new winter jacket, Elizaveta sees a familiar face.

She only had so much money. This was what Elizaveta repeated to herself as she walked through the mall, clinging to her bag as if it would run off and buy something horribly expensive if she didn't keep a firm grip on it. Really though, it just wasn't fair. All she wanted was a nice winter jacket, but she couldn't even afford to look at a few of the ones she liked.

But obviously, she did and she ended up liking them more, which was all rather painful because she knew that she couldn't afford it but loved it nonetheless. It happened every year, a battle between her heart and her wallet that she knew she was over-dramatizing but didn't care.

And it wasn't like Gilbert would be buying her any luxurious gifts in the near future. Rolling her eyes, Elizaveta pulled her gaze away from the mannequins lining the storefronts and looked around her. Women of her kind seemed to be experiencing the same anxiety she was all around her, but her eyes stuck on one particular female with long brown hair. Elizaveta squinted, trying to remember where she had seen the other girl before.

Oh, right! Gilbert's fashion line or whatever it was. Her bad mood dissipating, she started walking up to the other girl, not wondering if the other girl remembered her or not. Her name was Emilia, or something of the like. She had been very pleasant. And Elizaveta was very lonely, so perhaps it would be a good idea to talk to her.

As Elizaveta stood in front of her, she smiled, "Hey! Uh, I'm Elizaveta. Do you remember me? I met you once when you were working for Gilbert."
