WHAT: Still traumatized by Alfred's drunken state, Ivan opts out of doing any activity that might end in Alfred stripping through a nice game of chess.

It wasn't to say that Ivan had been avoiding Alfred F. Jones since the incident on the Fourth of July, but that he'd been - quite frankly - very busy, and happened to be doing that in a manner that kept his free time away from any rounds of Call of Duty or even so much as answering a text message or blog post from the American.

But when he took notice of the two months he'd spent deliberately avoiding Alfred, he mustered up the courage to send Alfred an invitation to his house - because it wasn't that he wanted to cut off all ties with Alfred, just that he feared another mishap taking place lest they meet again. He couldn't cope with having to surrender to the butterflies in his stomach when they had (accidentally) ki-

"I am sorry we have not talked in so long," Ivan apologized as he opened the door for his guest. "I have been very busy with work lately-" He motioned Alfred to the kitchen table where sat a very pristine chessboard with marble pieces gleaming in the kitchen light dangling from the ceiling.
