Kiku was feeling in a romantic sort of mood lately. Whether it was the theme of the holiday or his own circumstances lately, he wasn't sure. In either case, he had a suspicion that they were both influencing him. The cafe was decorated from front to back with hanging stars, meant to resemble the milky way, interspersed with hanging lanterns lit with little flickering electric lights. There were several bamboo stalks between every table, their leaves sweeping down to give an air of privacy to the occupants. The overhead lights were dimmed to give ambiance for the night related festival.

The staff uniform had also been updated for the day for both maids and butlers, and there were also a few new additions to the dessert   menu. The story of tanabata was written on a card placed on every table, and at the end of the meal, the diners would be presented with tanzaku paper to write their wishes and tie them to the bamboo.

Surveying his handywork, Kiku hoped that the fliers around town had done their job.
