"What are you-" to say that Ivan had gotten used to Alfred's extreme lacking in the 'respect your superior officers' department was an understatement. Like Ivan could shoot through the same bullet hole multiple times, Alfred always managed to find that one spot on his chest every time he jabbed it with his finger, and that inch of skin took so much abuse from Alfred's pointer finger on a daily basis that a bruise had formed there. The fist that followed was enough to cause Ivan to stumble.

"Tell who what?" he inquired, already answering his own question. "Yao? You already answered the question yourself: he is my 'best friend', so it would make sense that we would tell each other everything, da?" he sidestepped Alfred and made his way for the door as if he were planning to leave, but instead he opened just enough to stick his head and see if anyone was around before slipping back in and locking it.

"It is the sort of thing you wouldn't be able to comprehend, Jones. The point-being is that I trust Wang Yao with all of my secrets, as well as my life," he pulled his gun from his holster, pointed it down the row at one of the targets, then pulled the trigger - no bullet fired, as there was none in the pistol. "But if you ask nicely, I can talk to Yao for you. Though I do not understand exactly as to why you of all people are putting up with Yao's demands. You hardly know how to follow through with the demands of someone who can get you court martial'd for not respecting your superiors."

Alfred walked over to him, hand wrapping around the muzzle, pushing it down, looking at his superior square in the eye, fingers tightening around the cold metal. "Are you really that stupid?" He asked quietly, shaking his head in disappointment.

Drawing his hand away, Alfred knew he needed to sit down and slumped down against the counter Ivan had just been occupying. "Everytime I threaten to leave, he blackmails me with my reputation, and, last time I check, I'm the only sleeping with superior officier and Yao wouldn't hesitate to tell the Madame who that is."

"You are an idiot-" he snapped up at him, folding his hands across his chest. "Your secret spewing screwed me over. And what dirt could you have on him that's bigger than this!?"

"So you imply that in order to break free of this, I need to blackmail Yao?" He placed the gun back in his holster again, having to take a deep breath through every hesitation because all he wanted right now was peace, quiet, and a magazine of bullets unloaded into something - and Alfred was becoming more and more tempting. "I don't know what kind of backwards world you live in, but I am capable of talking to Yao about this without having to blackmail him about letting you go."

He leaned against the wall dividing each counter space. "Besides, you are the least of my worries right now."

Alfred buried his face in his hands, forcing himself to remain calm instead of ramming his knee into Ivan's stomach and leaving. He could deal with the concequences later... Exhaling quietly into his palms before dropping his hands to his lap, the blond shook his head and instead of driving his knee into the Russian, he merely bumped his boot against his superior's.

"I should be," he said quietly, with a grimace. "But I guess a wedding is a little more imporant. And paperwork of course."

"What wedding?" Exasperated, and dropping his head back in a show of it, Ivan shifted his foot away from Alfred's. "I thought I told you yesterday that Natalia and I still haven't finalized the date. "And I finished my paperwork this afternoon - what I meant by having more important things to worry about is that you should be able to handle this on your own. I am willing to help, but your lack of respect and utter regards for inferiority are beginning to get on my nerves, even if I am 'with you', or whatever you want to call it.

"But if you are so worried about it, then might I suggest that we just stop for the time-being? Then Yao has nothing to hold onto, and you can be on your merry way back into the skies."

"Just... Stop?" Alfred's mouth went a little dry and he squeezed himself tighter. This was definitely not going his way and his anger which had been cooling was sparking again. "If had had disrespect for you, I would've told madame myself that you were sleeping me and threatening my position if I stopped. If I wanted to disrespect you I'd have told Natalia. If I disrespected you, I would've told Yao to find himself a new flyboy and dealt with the concequences."

Alfrred hunched his shoulder gritting his teeth before starting away from the counter and towards the door. "But I guess that's what I get for thinking you were more than just a commander. I'll deal with it myself, sir, enjoy the rest of your night."

"More then just a commander?" Ivan repeated, feeling guilt pool in his stomach as Alfred made his way toward the door. At the very least, he knew that he didn't have to run towards the door to stop Jones from leaving because Alfred would have to unlock it first.

Before Alfred could reach the handle of the door, Ivan pressed his back against it. "Do you want me to take care of this, or no? Because if you want me to, I will, and I will not just because I am your commander."

Blue eyes boring into him, Alfred rested a hand against his chest, smoothing out the wrinkles of his shirt idly. "I want to be free, Ivan." He said quietly, looking down, doing his best to keep his head. "Yao isn't letting me do that and I would really, really, appreciate you keeping your best friend in check."

Finally, he offered a small smile, pulling his hand away. "It's like you said- with the bird and the wings... Don't remember exactly but what Yao's doing is worst than grounding me. He's telling me how to fly."

"You can't take the wings from a bird unless you intend to kill it," he replied, only slightly taken aback by Alfred's sudden show of affection. "But, Alfred, correct me if I am wrong, but- isn't that what the military does to you, too? You don't technically own the plane either... which might be the excuse I can use for Yao to get you out this.

"But since you asked so nicely, I will talk to him when I see him next- which I believe is tomorrow. And in the meantime, Jones-" he curled a finger beneath the Pilot's chin, lifting his eyes up to meet his smirk. "Behave," he leaned in close, lips brushing against the blonde's ears, "or I will have to punish you."

Alfred smiled, hands running up along his jacket, catching on a few of the medals as he wrapped his arms around his neck, turning his head so his mouth would tease along the Russian's jaw, breathing out, lips barely brushing the cool skin. "Like I ever listen to what the military tells me... I could steal Skybreaker and never come back without any consequences..."

He pulled back just enough to hover his lips over Ivan's, spine tingling at the cold breath mixed with vodka and he let out a small noise at memory of that mouth on his body-

"But I leave Yao- and you go down too."

"You know you couldn't get away with that, Alfred," he almost scolded his supporting officer. "I would have to come after you for theft and desertion. It's absence without... leave." He felt his body tense and his voice decrease in volume when Alfred's lips were suddenly upon him.

"What do you mean by 'you go down too'?" Ivan inquired, having to dig his fingernails into his thigh in order to keep his voice from giving himself away.

Sighing against his lips, Alfred didn't bother to move back, instead trapping Ivan there with his body, pressing against him. Damn their uniforms were bigand just how thick his bomber and how many layers his Colonel insisted on wearing.

"If I leave... He tells the Madame I've been sleeping with a superior officer." He looked up at Ivan, still tight against him, lips brushing with each word they spoke. "She'd figure it out, make me leave the force- and who knows what she'd do to you..."

Ivan swallowed, feeling himself tip forward just enough to increase the press of their lips, only to pull away instantly and drop his head. She has better reasons to fire me... and I think she knows- she knows that I-

"I have better things to worry about- not that this isn't important, but-"

"No," Alfred pressed a finger to his lips, dragging it over the bottom one before bowing his head. "Ivan- I get it..."

He kissed him lightly, starting to pull back, thumb pressed against the cold, pale lip. "You're stressed... You're in here after all and you're yelling at me. And not just for show. What's been up with you lately?"

"It's...." Ivan let his head bow also, if not just to meet Alfred's eyes again. His mouth hung open, still held down by the press of Alfred's thumb, but he couldn't find the words to explain it. "...stress. Nothing but stress, I'm just trying to clear my head."

He offered a smile and pulled his lip free from Alfred's thumb. "I'm fine, okay?"

Alfred beamed at him and before those lips could close he pressed forward, kissing him again, holding it just long enough to get his arms around the Russian's neck, cupping the back of his head to pull him down closer.

"If you're stressed you shouldn't be working it out with that gun~"
