Sindre had been uncertain if he was even going to go. He had dealt with recent issues far more openly than he normally did, and he didn't necessarily want to add another incident.

At the end of work, however, he had somehow talked himself into it. Nothing wrong with remembrance.

In remembrance of Johanna, when she was still his mother.

In remembrance of his family, who he left behind to study in the States.

In remembrance of Norway, where he learned who he was.

In remembrance of the Vikings, and how things were before they shattered.

In remembrance of Peter, and the way families get torn apart.

In remembrance of Valdi's family, which he didn't intend to break, but did anyhow.

In remembrance of broken friendships, and how a simple phonecall could do so much damage.

In remembrance of Tino, of love torn apart by nothing more than circumstances.

In remembrance of an idiot who was a friend, then left, then became something more, only to leave again.

In remembrance of the hundreds of thousand little moments that break you, and the hundreds of thousands that put you back together, that heal you in a shape not quite what it was before.

Eventually, Sindre would move, look around, find his brother. And eventually, in the spot where he stood one would be able to find drops of wax from a burning candle and tiny circles of salt where once tears landed.

But not yet.

He had much to remember.
