The Welshman had to wake up extra early that morning in order to run to the opposite side of Liberty where sat the flower shop with the freshest, most beautiful roses in stock - dozens of imaginable shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. After tending to the flowers all throughout choir and drama periods, he skipped out of Liberty University and towards the Belgian Chocolate shop where he purchased a heart-shaped box and filled it with truffles, caramels, cremes, and toffees.
He must've spent ten minutes standing awkwardly - flowers, chocolates, bowtie, suspenders, glasses, brows, and all - outside her apartment mustering up the courage to ring the doorbell.
