What: Kiku offered for Willem to come over if things got too quiet around the apartment.
< It would be selfish to feel betrayed, he knew. Søren had stayed in Denmark because his mother needed him. And just because Willem had been through some tough times recently, that was no reason to want his best friend to drop everything important just to come running back to hold his hand.
So he had labeled the feeling churning in his gut sadness. Mixed with a bit of anger at how unfair the world was being with this. While that too was childish, it was reasonable, and reasonable he could deal with somewhat.
But after a night of more worry then sleep, he was tired of dealing with it alone. Which is how he found himself on Kiku’s doorstep sometime around noon on Friday, knocking on the door. >
