The family of my family is my family.

WHO: Antonio and Marcello
WHEN: April 6th, 20011. Afternoon.
WHERE: The Sentient Bean (Coffee shop in Downtown.)
WHAT: A Spaniard and a Seborgan meet to discuss an Italian and other things.

MARCELLO:
It was almost a crime not to enjoy such nice weather when it'd been so rare lately. Marcello cut through the park to get a look at the ever-growing population of flowers that were blooming this time of year, and some kids tussling over something trivial at the playground caught his eye too.

It was for that reason that the Seborgan arrived at The Sentient Bean almost an hour late with zero guilt. He ordered his favorite drink, a mocha iced coffee with a shot of raspberry, found a table and sat down at a free table, humming to himself. Honestly he was a bit anxious. It wasn't like he and Antonio knew each other very well or hung out a lot. And online he had hinted to discussing matters about his cousin to the man. Sipping the orange straw on his drink, he was beginning to have second thoughts.

ANTONIO:
He arrived at the cafe, a good hour late but fairly unaware of the time. Antonio was never one to wear a watch anyway, and had guessed at the time. And the location. And so when he finally got to the place, it looked like Lovi's cousin had already made it there before him. At least, he was pretty sure that was who it was. It was hard to mistake that curl, though. He grabbed a water for himself and plopped down in the seat across from the Italian. "Marcello, right~?"

MARCELLO:
Marcello was almost startled when the man suddenly plopped down across from him, but he smiled broadly. "Ah, sì! That's me! And you're Antonio! I've heard a little bit about you," He paused with a small chuckle, "But it's not like Romano really talks about other people much, you know? Or talks openly at all. But as far as I know you're a pretty interesting guy."

He took a sip of his drink, pausing and allowing the Spaniard to reply. "I hope it wasn't much trouble meeting me here. I didn't think about how long a walk it'd be for you. Wait, you live in the mansion too, right?"

ANTONIO:
"Nah, he's not much for talking, huh?" He grinned. This kid was pretty cute. A lot more like Feliciano than Lovino, really. Just younger.

"Ah, yeah, I'm staying with Lovi~ So it wasn't too long of a ways away." The thought struck him. "You weren't waiting around for too long, right?"

MARCELLO:
Marcello shook his head with a smile. "Nope, I just go here too. It's a really nice day so I cut through the park. Looks like it's finally warm enough that they're putting on activities there. I just moved here recently, so I don't know when things start to pick up around here, but it's exciting. Oh, and there were some kids fighting over a stuffed dog. It was pretty funny."

He paused, savoring the raspberry coffee flavor for a moment. His mind wandered. "So, the mansion, huh? I guess that means you guys are pretty close." He really was curious as to what Romano was up to. He had a feeling that the man might actually be lonely there, so he was relieved to hear about Antonio's stay. "Does he have anyone else staying there?"

ANTONIO:
"Close...." He smiled. "Yeah. We're pretty close...Lovi and me." He sipped at his water, spacing out for a bit. These had been a good couple of weeks for the two of them, in spite of everything. But it didn't take too long for him to snap back to reality, the dreamy smile still on his face. "Sorry...ah, someone else living with us? Nope!"

MARCELLO:
Marcello sighed with a smile. "Well then I'm really glad you're around then. I bet he doesn't want to admit it, but it's probably really lonely being in a big place all by yourself like that. I didn't get to see the cousins much growing up, but if there's one thing I learned about Romano, it's that he won't come right out and say how he feels."

He fiddled with his cup, sort of thinking out loud. "It sucks because at the same time, I'm too much of a coward to get overly involved." He gave a mirthless chuckle. "I guess that's where the rift began. It's the same with Feliciano, but with Romano it's the worst. At least Feli I can sort of get along with. Romano's just… I don't know."
