After ten minutes of walking, Emi couldn't help but wonder if, perhaps, she should have just driven to Ale's house. It was late, cold, and it would have taken less time compared to walking from the Charleston to his home. She paused, hands stuffed in her pockets as she looked around, teeth digging into her bottom lip as she considered her options. As much as she didn't want to return to the Charleston, driving seemed like a better option. And she already had her things with her, so there was no need to actually go back inside the apartment...

Sighing, Emi slipped past a rather tipsy couple as she turned to walk back. Her hand absently came up to adjust the the strap of her messenger bag as she walked, making sure not to damage the two boxes of chocolate she had bought earlier. One for Ale and one for...well. That one had been on sale and Emi hadn't been able to stop herself but now the appeal that normally came with eating chocolate was wasted. She was too upset, too tired, and too busy arguing with herself over how selfish she was being as she walked.

And lost in this internal conflict, she didn't notice the familiar face coming towards her until her shoulder bumped against his arm. Blinking, she stepped back, head tilting back somewhat to get a better look. "Ah, Chai?"
