It's so much fun writing Siri geeked out about something talks_to_nisse January 27 2011, 04:10:39 UTC
Faced with the Amelia Jones, of Amelia n' Madison, Siri's brain stuttered for a moment, and all she could think to do was blurt, "But class isn't over!"

Luckily, Amelia--Amelia!--ignored that inane outburst. In fact, she ignored the class' reaction and her professor's shocked yell and grabbed her handAnd dragged her out of her seat and down the hall, causing Siri to jam her knee into the door. Siri managed to keep up until they turned the first corner, but then she tried to pull back and slow them down. Amelia didn't seem to notice. Frowning now, Siri jerked her hand, trying to break Amelia's grip. Siri was by no means weak, but she couldn't get her wrist to move an inch ( ... )

Stopping at the end of the hallway, a hand on the door leading outside, Amelia quirked her head, beaming at the other girl. "For coffee!" She said brightly, pushing the door open, pulling the blond outside and finally releasing her, knowing that by now she would have to follow. "And don't worry, I'm totally paying~!"

Lucky that the parking lot was so close. Amelia hurried over to her bike, taking the helmet and offering it to the young woman. "I'm Amelia by the way, what's your name~?"

Ohhhh she is. talks_to_nisse February 3 2011, 17:49:27 UTC
Siri stumbled as Amelia released her. Why would she burst in to class and snatch her, only to let her go?

Reopening the door, prepared to head back to class, she couldn't help but watch Amelia for a moment longer. It wasn't likely that she'd ever meet the pop star again, and Siri couldn't quite tear herself away from the door. She hadn't expected Amelia to have a motorcycle...

That wasn't a motorcycle, Siri slowly realized. That was a hog. Amelia wanted her to go off with her on a hog.

Siri could do the smart thing. Go back to class, forget about pop stars who were, admittedly bad, kidnappers, and stay away from the whole shady scenario. Or she could go off with Amelia Jones for coffee and ride off on a hog. She really should be responsible and get back to class...

Trotting to catch up to Amelia, Siri took the offered helmet. "I'm Sigrún," she answered. "But most people call me Siri."

"Sigrún..." Amelia tested the name, failing to reproduce it with same smoothness that Siri could. Oh well~! "Siri it is then! C'mon, let's go!" Waiting until the other girl had slid on, Amelia listened to the motor roar into life before backing out of the stall and taking off away from the university, grinning.

This was going to be perfect! This girl was totally going to help her Madison! She wondered vaguely if she'd have to make Siri sign some kind of form to keep her mouth shut about Madison's... problems.

Nah- Siri seemed nice! She'd never spread that kind of stuff around.

Finding themselves in the fancier part of the downtown -Vichy Plaza? Something like that- Amelia parked on the sidewalk, ignoring the strange looks she was getting before hopping off the bike, beaming at Siri. "I've never been down here, but it looks like it'll have good stuff~"

YOU HAVE A TARDIS?! talks_to_nisse February 10 2011, 05:23:15 UTC
"I'm not down here much," Siri replied, almost shyly. "But from what I hear, it is."

She fumbled for her mental stability. It wasn't like her to get starstruck--or, she didn't think so. She supposed she hadn't had much experience with celebrities. But, still. It wasn't as if she owned all four of Amelia&Maddie's CD's. Or spent entirely too much money to get front row seats the last time they performed nearby. O-or had a Comp Sci friend rig her computer with extra security so no one saw just how many fansites she visited daily.

She needed to stop acting like a thirteen-year-old fan and start thinking. Starting with one very important, glaring question.

"Why did you...what is it you needed?"

Y-YES! It's the American TARDIS |D waitforsuperman February 14 2011, 00:36:55 UTC
Walking up to the counter and fiddling in her purse, Amelia looked back at her, lowering her voice and bowing her head a little to have a more secret conversation. Who knows what kind of evil-goers/reporters could be lurking around here.

"My sister, Maddie, has been having some problems," she said, sighing a little. "I don't know what's wrong with her so I thought, you being a brain doctor or whatever, could help me a bit."

Straightening as the line moved up closer to the counter, Amelia smiled. "I'll pay you in coffee and we can talk about her, that sound okay?"

"Yes! That sounds--" Siri began to blurt. Catching herself, she composed herself and took on a more professional demeanor.

"That is, I'm only a student, and I'm not currently licensed to officially analyze anyone. Also, while you may have a good idea of the situation, there's only so much I can understand without speaking to your sister myself. And I can't...magically fix your sister by meeting you for coffee once."

She held her hand out to seal the deal. "If you can accept those limitations, and keep them in mind, I shall do my best to advise you."

Taking the hand, Amelia gave her another million-and-one watt smile, shaking it enthusiastically. "That's all I want!" She insisted. "Just someone to talk to... a second opinion!"

A thought suddenly struck Amelia but she waited until they had ordered and were waiting near the end of the coffee bar, playing the lids as she watched the oddly cute barista make their drinks. "Have you ever heard of us?" Her head tilted and large blue eyes peered and Siri. "I mean, my sister and me have a band, Amelia&Maddie."

...Well, yes. I didn't realize there was any misconception on the matter. talks_to_nisse February 23 2011, 02:31:40 UTC
"...'I'. 'My sister and I'," Siri corrected, out of habit. How on earth was she supposed to answer that question, especially without sounding like a crazed fan? Because seriously. Who hadn't heard of Amelia&Maddie?

"I'm on a college campus," she eventually hedged. "You're played a fair amount over the campus radio station. I've heard you before. Though," she added, looking at Amelia from the corner of her eye, "I don't know why the two of you would be here in Liberty."

Taking her coffee from the barista, Siri sniped a booth in the back from another couple. First come, and all. "What about Maddie has you concerned?"

Slipping into the booth and sighing a little, Amelia gently popped the cap off of her coffee, starting to dump sugar packets into it. She kinda lost track, hands ripping open the packets idly. "We actually have an apartment here in Liberty," she said, answering Siri's first question. "It's like our home, we usually come here to record and take a breather from tours."

Only on her fifth sugar pack did Amelia realise what she was doing, stopping right away, laughing nervously. Tucking some hair behind her ear and avoiding the other girl's eyes. "Well- we get a lot of press, right? But usually I'm the 'bad girl' and Maddie's the cute, innocent one." Amelia took a deep breath, hands tightening around her coffee. "But it's not like that in real life- Maddie's out every night, clubbing and doing other stuff and I'm scared she's going to do something she'll regret."

I apologize that you somehow received the wrong idea. talks_to_nisse March 6 2011, 21:46:33 UTC
Siri winced internally as Amelia ruined her coffee with sugar. Honestly, if the girl didn't like the taste, she shouldn't buy it. "That's good," Siri replied absently, taking a sip of her own, unaltered coffee. Siri took a moment to simply enjoy the flavor. Even Amelia Jones sitting across from her couldn't beat that. "You should always have a home to come back to."

Moment of worship over, Siri mulled over what Amelia said. "Dancing is hardly a crime," she pointed out. "Every night is a bit excessive, true, and she'll run the risk of wearing herself thin, maybe getting sick, but if it helps her unwind...I'm going to guess you two live a rather high stress life." She shrugged. "So long as she paces herself, it probably does more good than harm."

Amelia slumped a little onto the table, folding her arms and letting her hands act as a pillow for her chin. She pouted up lightly at Siri. "It's not... just dancing." She murmured, feeling her own cheeks start to flush. She really shouldn't be bothered by this! M-Maddie was a big girl she could handle herself!

"Sometimes- there's stuff that she does. Not really legal..." Amelia lowered her voice. "A-And sometimes the boys come home..."

...why not? talks_to_nisse March 18 2011, 06:52:04 UTC
Siri considered that. It didn't sound criminal, and if it were any other person she'd assume they were embracing the "party hard" half of the work hard/party hard equation a bit too much.

But the nation had its share of pop stars that had gone to the bad, so Amelia had a right to be worried.

"So long as she's safe about it...who she brings home isn't really your business," she told the other girl. "I can understand how it would worry you, but telling her to stop won't help. If anything, it'd just make it all worse. And to be perfectly honest, there's nothing wrong with a little casual sex. But," she stopped Amelia from interrupting her, "I have a younger sister, and I can guess how you feel. Maybe see if Maddie would take you out with her? That way she has someone looking out for her, and if you two can interact more as friends, she might confide in you more."

"As for this 'stuff'..." Siri trailed off, shaking her head. "I can promise no one will find out from me, but I have to know exactly what you're talking about."

C-Casual sex?! Amelia felt her ankles hook around each other under table and knew her face had to be absolutely red at this moment. On the table's surface, Amelia poked her fingers together, lips puckering out. "I guess if she's being safe..." she reluctantly agreed before sighing.

"The stuff is just- I don't-" She lowered her voice into a whisper. "I think Maddie's smoking pot."

Siri had to struggle to bite back the "So?" that threatened to spring forth. She didn't smoke, and she'd kill Lára if she ever dared, but on the scale of drugs singers could get into...marijuana hardly registered.

Instead, she fished for a bit more information. "Is she smoking often? Or every once in a while? Just smoking, or do you think she's selling as well?"

This is a valid point. waitforsuperman March 22 2011, 00:17:21 UTC
"Every once in a while I think. She does it in her rooms and outside the tour bus. Usually I can tell because she reeks when she does." Amelia sighed, nose wrinkling.

Shifting a little in her seat, Amelia let her nails, painted bright red with white stars, dribbling across the table. "Do you think I'm overreacting? I just don't know anything about drugs- is this going to hurt her long-term or..." She sighed. "I might be being just a little over-protective?"
