Who: Francis Bonnefoy and Lili Zwingli
When: Tuesday December 21, 8:00 am
Where: A quaint little coffee shop
What: Lili seems to have a strange habit of luring in older men in coffee shops...No really, it's just two people getting know each other and figuring out why they seem so gosh darn familiar to one another. Right?
Lili had seen a lot of ruccus on the web concerning the man she was about to have breakfast with. Had she read any of it? Not exactly. She just happened to notice who the people were that he knew. After reading his blog the previous night however, she couldn't help but feel bad for the man. She knew how moving to Liberty was, and even though he seemed to know a lot of people already, none of them seemed to especially like him. Or act amiably towards him at all. The young girl felt something upon looking at the newcomer's profile though. A certain familiarity that she could not quite put her finger on. From what he said, he was experiencing the same feeling, so at least she wasn't going crazy.
The bell on the coffee shop door rang promptly at eight o'clock in the morning when Lili walked in. Any stray raindrops were done away with as the girl removed her coat and placed it on the rack near the door. Thankfully her dress had not gotten wet on her walk over and thankfully it was warm in the small shop. The shop had opened only about an hour before, so there were not many customers yet. Lili spotted an empty table for two easily enough and designated it for her and Francis when he arrived.
She was excited to meet the man. Any friend of Gilbert's was a friend of hers. Plus he had been so nice to her when they had chatted about this meeting. The feeling that she knew him from somewhere still sat in the back of her mind though. It was almost the same feeling as when she had met that boy Willem a few weeks before. Ah well. All that mattered was that she was going to meet a new friend and have a nice time, right?
