Antonio let out a gentle sigh and leaned against the closed door, his eyes closing and his smile dropping momentarily as the two focused on whatever was playing on tv. He really didn't care what was and didn't bother on pretending like he was happy, at least while no one was looking at him. The spanish man officially zoned out, his gaze focused on the tomatoes growing in the windowsill.

Why did his parents have to do this too him. Yes, they really didn't do it on purpose and it wasn't their fault but Antonio still couldn't get over that he wouldn't be able to go to school any more.
And he was going to have to work a third job...though technically the job at the ranch really was only one day and didn't pay much so he couldn't exactly count it as a job. Romano's voice broke him out of his thoughts and he looked back at him, blinking a couple of times.

"Hmm?" He asked before realizing what the Italian was talking about. The curly haired man brought an award winning fake smile to his face that he knew only his closest friends could see through and only if they looked close enough.
"Not much. I usually go shopping on sundays between the ranch and the restaurant" He explained offhand. There were tomatoes of course but other than there wasn't much. Antonio looked up at the clock, needing to leave pretty soon.

"I would make you something but I don't want to have to change" He added as an afterthought.

Kim looked towards the kitchen, hearing Romano's question, and looked over at Toni. Was he... ok? She shrugged it off and looked towards the kitchen again. " There's some tomato soup in a pot in the fridge from last night's dinner." she said, finishing her pho and putting the bowl in the sink after getting into the kitchen.

Coming back out, she turned the TV off, and looked at Toni. " Where are you going for the interview anyway?" she asked, realizing she knew he had an interview, but not where it was supposed to take place.

Antonio was caught slightly of guard when Kimmy turned of the tv as was looking at him. He offered his fake smile and quickly thought about the names of the places he would be heading too today.

"Tatiana Bathhouse as a masseuse and La Maison De Perfection as a Landscaper" He said after a moment, remembering where he had to go today. He figured that he wouldn't be able to work as a masseuse because of how rough and calloused his hands were from growing up on a farm.
However, he was extremely hopeful for the landscaping job since he had experience with working with his hands. Even if the place was extremely upscale, he knew that he could at least try for the job. It wasn't like him to give up so easily.

"I have to go" He called out, placing one of his hands on the door. Half of him wanted Romano and Kim with him when he went for his interviews for mental support. The other half of him knew that neither of them would probably want to come. Though he wouldn't ask them either way.

Romano returned from the kitchen with one of Antonio's fresh tomatoes in his hand. It wasn't going to fill him up, but he hadn't eaten all day and a hungry Italian was not a happy one.[Not that Romano was ever really that happy anyway.]

Plucking up his bag from where it had been discarded beside the couch he moved over to stand beside the Spaniard, tossing the idea of joining him over and over again in his head. Planning out enough reasons that would excuse him for going, reasons that strayed as far as possible from simply wanting to accompany his friend.
"I'm coming," He said finally with a pout, still refusing to lock eyes with Antonio. "I need to buy dinner anyway." And also look for another job, but he wouldn't let Antonio or Kim know about that.
Romano was not so quick to admit poverty as Antonio was.

Kim looked at the two, and thought for a second. " I'm coming too." she said. " I need some stuff at the store." Unlike Toni, she wasn't too poor, and she COULD pay the whole rent if necessary, but knowing Toni, he wouldn't let her, and just feel bad about it.

" And to make sure you don't run away from your interview in front of the door." she teased, patting Toni's back.

Antonio looked to Romano and Kim and then back again before a true smile came to his face. He knew that buying dinner wasn't the reason why the Italian was coming simply because he wouldn't meet his eyes. Antonio wouldn't complain though, at least he was coming. Kim on the other hand probably was telling the truth though the Spanish man probably wouldn't know either way seeing as he hadn't known her for as long as he had known Lovi. He chuckled gently when she teased him about running away. He reached up and ruffled her hair playfully, smiling happily.

"Muchas gracias" He said half to himself as he turned back to the door and held it open for his friends. Once the two made it out of the room he fallowed and shut the door behind him, making sure it was locked before heading for the stairs. He didn't know if the other two preferred the elevator but if they did he would simply meet them at the bottom.

Now that he was actually leaving for the interview, Antonio was nervous. Really nervous. His stomach was doing flips and half of him wanted to bolt, and make Kim's tease necessary.

" Eh!" Kim squeaked as he ruffled her hair, and had to straighten it before following him outside, while putting her shoes on. She hated wearing shoes inside. It was common at her mom's house to take off your shoes when you stepped inside. And she'd pretty much brought it with her. Whether Toni used shoes inside or not, didn't really bother her.

Seeing Toni head down the stairs, she shot Romano a quick glance, before she used them as well. When they were almost down at the bottom by the front door, she suddenly leaped forward and jumped up, clinging to his back. " Got ya!" she giggled.

The spanish man was so wrapped up in his own head that he didn't expect or realize what Kim was doing until she was clinging onto him. He automatically put his hands to her thighs to hold her in place and chuckled deeply, something he hadn't done since he left for Spain. He turned his head to look back at the girl now getting a piggy back ride and shook his head lightly.

"having fun, Querida?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and another gentle laugh. He turned back to wait for Romano, not wanting him to feel left out.

When Kimmy had thrown herself onto Antonio, Romano lowered his head and kept on walking. He didn't quite understand the relationship between the two of them [their energies just seemed to bounce off one another] and so figured it was best to ignore it and go about his business, much like one usually did during a public display of affection.

Though when Antonio smiled, and laughed with her, a very persistent part of him did yearn to join in. It all seemed like a scene from the perfect cliche'd drama, the one's that always had a happy ending. Romano scoffed.
Someone like him didn't need a life like that, he told himself as he walked passed them.
"Geez. You're going for a job, at least pretend to be mature for once in your life."

Hearing Romano's comment sorta ruined the good mood, and Kim was tempted to smack him, but didn't. She looked at him, wondering what was his problem. There was something bothering the guy, she could tell. Why else would someone be so..... moody all the time?

Whatever it was, she was gonna find out. No matter how long it would take. And even if Toni might deserve better, she knew how the guy felt for the PMS-ing Italian, and she wanted her friend to be happy.

But.... How to do this.... She needed a plan....

Where there's a good mood, Lovi will be there to destroy it! -strikes a pose- italian_honour August 31 2009, 19:50:13 UTC
He felt Kim's eyes on him and stared back in return, not really giving a damn if he'd ruined her fun or not. Stupid hyperactive child...she was almost like his brother in that aspect.
Great. As if i fucking need two of them

Romano seemed to have that effect on people. Presenting himself (unintentionally) as a riddle, and encouraging them (also unintentionally) to pry into his life. Those that didn't usually swore, flipped him off and went to complain to someone else. He liked those people, they knew how to mind their own fucking business.
Toni had tried, and failed. Lenna had tried, and failed. And now Kim had won a free ticket down the same route.

Leaving the apartment block he took a bite into the tomato he'd smuggled with him, turning and waiting for the other two. It tasted good, thank god. He was starving and would need more than (what he told himself) were pedophilic displays of affection the world didn't need. That he certainly didn't need. No, of course not.

Finally, she let go of Toni, and stretched a bit, walking between the two guys now. She noticed him staring back at her, and just smiled cutely back to him this time. There was no point in getting upset because of some grumpy Italian. Whatever Toni saw in Romano, Kim wanted to find out what it was. If he had some good in him, she wanted to see it too. Toni didn't pick bad friends, she'd found that out by now.

And it really helped that he was really cute, despite his grumpy exterior.

"Lo Siento" He mumbled under his breath, sticking his hands into his pockets after Kimmy let go and got off. He walked in silence for a while longer, looking for all the world like a kicked puppy. His gaze on the ground and his shoulders slumped. His smile even slipped momentarily though he didn't exactly frown.
Instead, he mentally scolded himself for letting the Italians words affect him so much. He shook his head lightly and forced himself appear normal. Thankfully, this slip had only been a couple of seconds and he hoped that no one noticed. He looked up to figure out where they were and found that they were outside Tatiana's Bathhouse.

"Ah were here" He said, hesitating momentarily. Half of him wasn't sure that he could do this. However, he forced himself to take a step in the door, holding open the door and hesitating again.

"This shouldn't take long" He half said to himself before heading inside.

Even if Romano had noticed it wouldn't have made much of a difference. He had scolded Antonio, so it was only expected that the other would be somewhat crestfallen, right?

Arriving at the bathhouse he looked up at the entrance, he'd never been there before, or even taken much notice of it until now. For a fleeting moment, Romano considered whether it was worth trying for a job as well, but stubbornness prevailed and he suppressed the idea. A bathhouse was the last place he wanted to work, and he'd never let Antonio see him trying anyway.

Following the other man he went inside, immediately scanning the foyer for somewhere to sit down.

Kim didn't say a word, but followed them both inside. The store could wait a bit, she wanted to suport Toni first. And she wasn't too unfamiliar with this place, as she'd been there the morning before.

But she hadn't told anyone that, it was a little secret for now. There were a couple of benches along the wall, and she quickly sat down on one, picking up some magazine and just reading through it, waiting for Toni to finish his interview.

Please forgive him. He's Italian. italian_honour September 1 2009, 00:42:35 UTC

Romano followed Kim's lead to the benches, taking a seat at the end opposite to her with one leg propped up on the wooden surface, his back supported by what arm the bench did have and the wall.
She may have been a hyperactive little brat, but she was still Antonio's roommate, and he thought it was about time he got to know her.

He watched her as she read, a sly grin creeping across his features. "Moving out of home already...that's pretty brave of you." Unfortunately...the Italian way of getting to know someone-especially a female- strayed a little far from general conversation..
