Clue # 2
[The screen once again flickers and that warm comfortable chair from before is in the middle of the shot. The fire has died down but the light of the room still makes two figures standing off to the side visible. Their position is close, Arthur leaning against the side of the chair while Alfred is fidgeting. Arthur's fingers are at his neck, wrestling with a long piece of red fabric. They are both dressed in suits, both looking a little tired and Arthur is grumbling.
"Christ, just what have you done to this poor piece of fabric?" he tuts.
Alfred groans and shifts on his feet. "It's not my fault! Ties are stupid! Mr Edelstein let me wear the suit without one!" Arthur's hands suddenly move tighter around Alfred's throat, "A-Ah- stop! Artie, you're chokin' me!"
The Brit rolls his eyes. "It's called tightening it properly. That half-arsed slovenly look won't fly here."
Clearly having enough of this, Alfred tried to push Arthur away but the Brit keeps a firm hold on him via the handy lesh in his hand and pulls the American quite close. "You just want me dead! Which isn't really helping our-" Alfred makes another choking noise.
"What was that?"
The blue eyes look at Arthur then his shoulders slump. "Nothing Arthur."
A smile passes across the Brit's lips. Quick and sweet. "That's what I thought you said," Arthur finishes the tie with a flourish, "There's a good lad." His hand smooths it down Alfred's chest and brushes off some imaginary dust.
"We should really get back to the clue, shouldn't keep the viewers waiting." The two start towards the chair, Alfred's hand resting on Arthur's back, lightly pushing him towards the chair.
Arthur's eyes flick to the camera. "...That contraption has been on? For how long!?"
While Arthur settles in the chair, you watch as Alfred wanders closer, bending slightly to look at the small screen. "Only a minute... Probably caught us putting our clothes back on."
"You mean me putting your--"
Alfred's hand waves at the Brit and he returned to his side. "C-C'mon Artie, they really don't need to see that on the tape when we send it in.
Ignoring Alfred for now, Arthur instead gestured towards somewhere off-screen. "Bring me that parcel over there. The cylindrical one..." Alfred disappears and the reappears a moment later, long white tube in hand as he pops the top off, a scroll sliding out.
Unrolling it, the two glance at it, frowning. "I don't get it... I've never seen these before."
"...I think I may recognise the ones on the left, but the others.... very strange," Arthur snorts quietly, "Granted, it doesn't help that is looks like a child drew these."
Alfred shrugs and holds up
the scroll to the screen so you can read it. "I hope they figure it out, I'm getting really bored..." You can't see their faces, but their voices are clear as day.
"Oh, God forbid you should become bored."
A huff. "I wasn't the only one complaining. Did you listen to yourself last night?
"No, I didn't listen to myself last night. Because all I could hear last night was your incessant snoring."
"I do not snore!"
"My now slightly deaf right ear tells a different story."
"Last time I ever offer you cuddles..."
You can practically hear the blush on Arthur's cheeks. "W-We didn't--! That was for warmth! Since this goddamn bloody place-"
The scrolls drops and you blink as Alfred seems to be at Arthur's side in a moment, lips near flush against the Brit's ear, words flying soundlessly from his mouth. Intimate. Alfred's blue eyes are intense on Arthur as the green glower fiercely into the camera with some unnamed emotion and you watch the Brit's jaw clench. When Alfred's mouth stops moving, Arthur gives a single jerky nod before looking away.
Alfred's hand rests on the Brit's shoulder and you see Arthur's own hand reach for it as the camera feed cuts.]
The Clue Floor has three special doors this time.
One brings misfortune, one brings good tidings and one opens new horizons.
To start, all of you must go to room Number 5.
Be wary little rabbits.
[you hear the familiar click of the unlocked doors and you all look up as the double doors at the top of the stairs swing open. As you all go upstairs and move along the hallway to room Number 5, you notice that the door is ajar carefully you look inside and are shocked to see a
staircase leading up. Again, the windows are all white and reveal nothing of the outside. Slowly, you all begin to climb the stairs.
At the top you find yourself at the end of
a hallway, the artificial light pouring inside. Each door has a small scanner beside it. Anyone who dares to venture down
the hall that isn't bathed in the bright light will find themselves in a much
darker area of the hotel. Any one brave enough to follow the lightbulbs down the mouldy and decrepit hall will find themselves in a grand and sorry looking
lobby. While nearly every window and door is boarded up and has no scanner, you realise that there is another set of stairs and at the top of those a set of white doors that is much to similar to the ones keeping you on the first floor.
This is a building. And each new floor brings your closer and closer to your end.
Barcodes will only work on third floor. There is no use going down to the second floor as none of the doors will open. And remember three doors hold prizes behind them but not all prizes are good.
