[Three consecutive rooms, and he's still not inside. He can hear things. Many things. Things that were too unreal to be heard. Yao goes across the room and tries door number three.]
[As his door opens on the first try, Zhi watches with wide eyes as his brother evidently locates his own room. The idea of being separated from him after what he has just witnessed crashes down on him, and with a rush of uncharacteristic emotion and fear, he all but scrambles over to Yao, trembling visibly.
And then, just like he had when they were younger, during those rare occasions when he needed his brother's reassuring presence, needed to know he'd be there for him, he pulls him into a tight hug.
"哥哥。。。 我好害怕。。。" he says quietly. If Yao listens hard enough, he can almost make out the faint beginning of a sob in those words.]
Why was Zhi running towards him? Will he try this door? Why was he receiving a hug? Why does it feel so foreboding and....not good?. Sh-shouldn't they be together in the same room? Was this just a ploy to separate them? Yao felt like he was sent to one of the saw mills back home, torn in half, one half sent to god-knows-where and the rest left to suffer.
Judging from the look and gestures of Zhi, Yao had feared so. Something tells him that he should be worrying more for Zhi than he should for himself. He quietly hugs Zhi back, reassuring him. "So am I..aru. W-we can 出去" Forgetting the inevitable elements in this 'game', he prolonged the hug from his brother.
[His grip tightens as he feels his brother's arms around him, and he shuts his eyes to keep the tears he can almost feel from forming. "希望 we can," he breathes, not daring to speak any louder lest he betray his emotions.
They stay that way for a few moments more, or maybe even longer, but to Zhi it's still not enough. Around them people are hurrying to their rooms, and with a pang he realises they should do they same. He reluctantly lets his arms fall and steps back to meet his brother's gaze.

He just hopes this wasn't the last.
