Who: Kiku Honda (though it is quite open to anyone passing through) When: Oct. 27, mid-afternoon Where: The Royal Café, Huayuan What: An extremely slow day...
With her new bracelet dangling from her wrist, which she bought the day before, Kim entered the Royal Cafe. She wanted to just have something to drink and eat after class before heading home.
Maybe some tea and whatever was good on the menu. She hadn't really been here too often before.
Although the sight that met her made her stop in her tracks after stepping into the place a few feet. Was that Kiku? Wearing a maid uniform? Kim hid a giggle, and just cleared her throat instead.

Kiku immediately shoved the DS under the counter at the sound of the bell, turning to greet the customer. "Okaeri nasai, goshujin-sa---"
Turning on his sweetest smile, he began the customary greeting, only to have it die in his throat with a little choking sound. At this hour, it should have only been a regular customer, but...instead, it was Kim. To whom he could not remember mentioning the nature of the cafe that he managed. Not that it was exactly a secret, but...even if he had happened to mention the maids, it wasn't as if he did this sort of thing often enough to mention that he might be among them (or, in the case of today, the only one).
Needless to say, mortification sent color creeping up his neck and straight into his cheeks. He had not moved a centimeter since the failed greeting.

This was just too good. Kim was extremely tempted to take a picture of him, but she decided against it. For now. She knew his homecountry was popular for this, but had honestly never imagined him actually doing it himself.
Instead of taking out her cellphone and snapping a picture, Kim instead giggled at the sight, and the look on his face just made it all better. He looked like a boy who'd just been caught jacking off by his parents.
She sat down by a table, forcing herself to stop giggling. "Long time no see, Kiku." she said.

Snapping out of his trance, though still completely mortified, he began gathering the necessary items for serving on a small round tray. Ice water, hot hand towel, and...she was laughing the whole time over this...and with as much dignity and normality as he could muster, moved around the counter to set her place.
He very much regretted his choice in belled stockings.
"I-it has been a while, Kim. You've been...been keeping well?"
