He hardly leaves again once he sets foot in his apartment after a long day. But after a good, long look at Kim's text messages, he had to do something. Calling her mother was too much trouble; the woman just also came back with Kim. Besides, Kim needs to learn how to take care of herself so she doesn't get sick in the future.

Promising himself to return in two hours to attend to his own house, Yao left and took the bus to Oceanview. He arrives quite shortly and walked the rest to Kim's house. The place looked eerie, most likely due to the lack of lights.

Without any delay, Yao knocks at the front door, signaling his arrival. It would be very rude to just open the door.

"Kim?"

The knock on the door felt a little bit like getting a hammer smashed against her skull. Kim groaned after getting downstairs, wrapped up in a bathrobe over her pajamas. Yao had said he'd come over, and that was probably him at the door. Either that or Remy had forgotten her keys.

She sniffled a bit and opened the door, making sure she didn't have to sneeze the moment Yao was let in.
"Hi." she said, sniffling again and stepping away to let him come inside.

She sure looks like what Yao imagined, except for the sniffling and weird voice, like she had a walnut stuck in her nose. Closing the door after himself, he looked at the halls and then went straight for the kitchen, grabbing Kim's wrist along the way. "You really look way worse than someone with too much makeup. Let me make something warm and smooth so at least the paleness in your face fades."

He was always wary when entering other people's kitchens, when he should jump into action and cook. Yao lets Kim sit on a chair, and inspects the fridge for anything easy to make; he found cheese, cream, onions and chicken. Time to get started.

She pouted a bit at his comment, but just sat down by the table, resting her head on it. Her head was feeling heavy and like it was stuffed with some cotton-y stuff.

Kim also closed her eyes, trusting Yao could settle himself in her kitchen. It wasn't too difficult anyway, he'd manage. It was nice having dinner served, especially when sick. Kim liked taking care of herself, but nobody could deny that they enjoyed being taken care of when they weren't feeling too well.

"What are you making?" she asked after a little while.

"Chicken soup. And maybe Pelmeni, unless you want something else?"

Anything warm was the best for any sick person, next to water therapy. Yao made a mental note of that as he chops the onions. Where he got the knives, well, it was by instinct since he lived off the kitchen in his entire stay at someone else's house. Anyone else's house, to be exact. It was his favorite place in the house. He was allowed to create what he wants for anyone he wants. Like a safe zone....

"You should drink water first, and maybe not put your head down like that. Your nose will clog if your head isn't properly placed upright....."

"No, chicken soup is fine." Kim said, and sat up. Yao could really act like a mom sometimes... While he cooked, she got herself a glass of water and drank it, sniffing a little. Stupid cold...

That's what she gets for not resting after a vacation.

Kim sighed and sat down by the table again, waiting patiently.
