Pizzeria reopening, Take 3.
Who: Romano, Feliciano, Alicia [OPEN!!]
Where: Vargas Pizzeria
When: Monday 27th September, midday ish
What: Romano decides to give the Pizzeria one last chance and Ali turns up to annoy congratulate him
It was always weird and a little nostalgic to stand in the Pizzeria on his own, where so much had happened and yet at the same time, nothing at all.
Weaving through the dining area to the kitchen Romano silently recounted each and every event that had taken place that year.
The table where the two elder mafioso had placed their gambles in a restaurant packed with many; the counter Romano and his brother were forced against when the police first came in search of their parents; the kitchen floor they'd curled up on and cried and pleaded innocence and...the backroom door, still bolted and barred and ignored.
Romano glanced up at the clock, slowly ticking away the last ten minutes until their "grand" reopening. Tacky streamers hung from the ceiling and huge posters boasting their "new" (not really) menu were plastered to the walls. Feliciano had really made an effort that morning.
To all the customers that day it was just another shot at business, but for Romano it was everything he wanted to forget, and all he had to hold onto.
God dammit this better work.
