Awkward Family Dinner Is Go
WHO: Alicia, KeKe, and Willem
WHEN: Monday, September 20th, Evening
WHERE: Alicia and Keke’s apartment
WHAT: The siblings get together to eat dinner and catch up.
< For most of the day, he’d half seriously debated bringing a plate of "special" brownies.
Really, it would have made the whole situation easier. Alicia would mellow out enough to stop looking at him like she wanted to open his head, comb through his inner most thoughts, then carry off the ones she didn’t agree with to incinerate somewhere. And Keke would stop looking between them like she didn’t know if she should interfere or go hide somewhere until the storm was over.
But eventually they’d sober up, and he’d take awkward dinner conversation over that level of fallout any day. Besides, they were his sisters, and he’d never violate their trust like that.
And Keke made better brownies then he did anyway.
So when he knocked on their door that evening all he carried with him were two six packs of quality beer, his hopes that they could get through the evening without major incident, and the knowledge that there was a plate of special brownies waiting for him back at his apartment. >
