So it begins~ find_a_fin September 2 2010, 18:34:09 UTC
Tino himself had had his headphones on at the moment Peter rushed downstairs, so he wouldn't have noticed it if Flower-Egg hadn't stirred on the bed and turned to stare at the door. It had made him stop the music for long enough to hear a thump at the heel of the stairs and after a moment he heard a sound of glass being put against the counter. ...Which one..?

After pondering for a moment, Tino thought that Berwald wouldn't make such noises while going downstairs, and he decided to get up. "Stay, girl," he said before walking to the door and stepping into the hallway, closing the door behind him and tiptoeing his way downstairs, holding his breath, hoping he had been right about it not being Berwald. He really didn't know what to do if he was to be proven wrong...

Sneaking to the kitchen doorway, he peeked inside, got to let out a sigh of relief and stepped in. "Peter? What're you doing up this late? You really should get some sleep during these crucial nights." Smiling a bit, he leaned to the wall and smiled at the boy warmly. He had to be nervous, he was so young. Tino knew that if he was in the same situation, he'd probably pass out from stress.

Peter poured himself a glass of milk. His attention was elsewhere that he didn't even hear Tino coming into the kitchen. All he could think about was all the sex positions and lubricants and how to put what into where. When his name was called, he promptly choked on his milk and spit it out.

"T-tino! Y-ack! You scared me!" He wiped the white liquid off his chin and poured some filtered water to clear his throat and wash the taste of milk from his nostrils. "Why are you still awake? A-ah! Did Peter wake you!? I wasn't being loud though... so I..."

He put down the glass and washed his hands awkwardly, suddenly feeling like Tino knew what he was doing in his room. He felt exposed, dirty, like Tino was judging him. Those eyes were peeling away his skin and staring into his soul. Peter had to get away.

"I-I'm going to go to bed now..., all right?"

At the moment the milk died, Tino regretted his decision to sneak in so carefully, and grabbed a towel, flustered. "Ah, sorry, Peter...! I didn't mean to startle you!" He rushed to the milk stains while the blushing boy went to wash his hands, and wiped them clean while there was a short awkward silence between them.

He must really stress about it, huh..? Sighing, Tino stood up. The poor kid.

Blinking and turning to look at the British boy once he had put the towel away, he noticed, to his confusion, that he looked like... Like he had been caught doing something. Really embarrassed.

"Ah..? Oh, no, wait!" Now it was his turn to fee a bit embarrassed and he gave a short laugh, rubbing his neck before looking at him again. "Am I right if I say you don't seem like you're tired?"

Peter did indeed wait at Tino's words. He looked at the older Finn and tried to smile sheepishly. But the more he tried, the more guilty he looked. He fidgeted, shifting weight between his feet (thankfully the ankle had at least pulled a recovery.)

"Uh, well," Peter stuttered, scratching the back of his neck. "It's hard to fall asleep, you know! I still have so much to do and things to plan! And, um..." Should he? Would Tino mind? Would Tino even be able to help? Maybe he should ask Papa again... but the last time had not end well.

"Tino... do you think I'd make a good husband for Raivis? Honestly... do you think I'd be?"

He lowered his head and stared at his feet. He almost looked like a kid asking if his mum thought he was a good lad.

Blinking at that, Tino just stared at the fidgeting boy in front of him before opening his mouth. "What are you talking about, Peter, of course you would..!" Walking to him, he took a hold of his shoulders and seated him down on a kitchen chair, pulling out one for himself as well and sitting next to him. If things like that were going through his mind, he had to set things straight.

"How can you even say that, I mean... I haven't been there always, but I've heard and seen all the things you've done. Remember when Raivis went missing? You didn't give up and wore yourself out! ...And I guess that's a bit stupid, but I still have to say it was kind of admirable too..!" He smiled a bit and looked at the boy. "I'm sure you will make a great husband, even though you are both young."

Peter sat in the chair as Tino requested. Instinctively, he kicked his feet and glanced every which direction except Tino's. He pouted and nodded at Tino's words. Though he knew the Finn meant well, what Tino kept mentioning was not making him feel better.

"So you think we are too young too, don't you!" He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Just because we are young doesn't mean we don't know what love is, you know! I mean... if we love each other and we are happy... then why can't we be married?"

He rested his elbow on the table and sighed heavily through his nose.

"Just because I'm young... doesn't mean I'm naive...!"

Feeling a bit taken aback, Tino tried to explain himself. "Ah, no, that's not what I meant." Sighing, he stood up and walked to the fridge, taking out a can of beer and returning to the table, opening it and taking a sip before continuing. "It's more like that I mean it even more that I think you'll make a great husband, because I know that many people your age wouldn't be able to do that." He glanced at the boy next to him and gave a small smile. "I know I wouldn't be ready."

He sighed a bit and leaned back, turning the can in his hands. Even though... Is love really enough of a reason to marry? People seem to think it is, and then they break up. Stealing another small glance from the boy, Tino brought the can back to his lips. But I probably shouldn't say that to him...

"Well, I am ready! I think... I think I am. I'm not sure... Sometimes, I really want it to happen already, but other times, I think... I think Raivis deserves someone better, you know."

Peter slumped on the table and stared at Tino's beer can. The last thing he had a date with alcohol, he ended up terribly sick and crying on Conner's bed for days. It was a mistake he would never make again. He glanced up at Tino, his teeth gnawing his gum. He might as well just come out and say it! Maybe Tino wouldn't remember it in the morning... what with the beer in his system.

"Tino... I don't even know how to make him feel good... if you know what I mean..."

Oh. ...Oh! So they had suddenly drifted off course to the deep waters.

Turning to look at the British boy with slightly widened eyes, Tino slowly turned his eyes forward and stares at the wall before putting the can down on the table. Oh lord... How am I supposed to help with... that? Taking a deep breath, Tino turned to look at the boy and decided that he shouldn't be a wimp about it, even though he had no personal experience with anyone, and definitely not with another man.

It's not like I don't know what's it all about.

Still, actually talking about it felt a bit awkward.

"Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean, umm..." leaning forward, Tino put his hands around the can again to give them something to do and leaned to his elbows. "..is there a problem with that or are you just generally asking..?"

Yeah, Tino wasn't going to become a sex therapist anytime soon but he had to be able to help his friend in need, for God's sake.

Peter hid his face between his forearms and pressed his body on top of the table. It was a horrible idea; he shouldn't be bothering Tino with such private matter. He could probably ask Conner later. Or Rory even. Heck, maybe Dewi would even know! Tino was a lovely man, but he was still a stranger in that realm of personal question.

Yet, Peter couldn't stop the words from coming out of his lips. "Problem...? Oh, um, well," he mumbled like his Papa. "I... don't even know... anything about it, you know... It's not as if anyone gave me a lesson on it!"

He kept his face down, talking to the tabletop instead of the Finn. His voice climbed an octave from embarrassment. The words vomited out of his mouth. If he was any louder, he would have woken up the neighborhood.

"And I don't read romance novels like Raivis does, so he knows more than me, but it's not fair because I'm supposed to be the man so I need to know more than he does, but Peter doesn't know anything, you know, Tino!"

...It's that bad? Somehow feeling a bit more confident after seeing how much more awkward Peter was, Tino rubbed his neck and tried to understand everything and not get stuck to the detail of Raivis reading romance novels.

"Ah, I see..." He chewed his lips and took a sip of his beer. "I don't think you should feel too worried about that, these things aren't... as complicated as you might think." I think...

Leaning to his elbows again, Tino looked at the back of the blonde boy's head and wondered to himself just how long he had had to have kept that in. Smiling, he tried to sound reassuring and understanding as he continued. "Well then, can you tell me what you do know already..? Because surely there must be something, and then I can help with the rest, okay?"

Tino was almost amazed by how knowledgeable he sounded. There was no way he'd reveal to Peter that he was, in fact, a virgin. He could handle this..!

Peter looked up, his lips quivering like he was standing in the middle of a freezer. He clapped his hands around his head and shook it violently, knowing that it was a horrible, horrible, horrible, stupid, horrible idea. But once the floodgate of repressed repression opened, Peter could not close it.

"Not much... I mean, I understand the basic... procedure of it. But... with two men, I... I... don't know... where... to put where... and Raivis gave me a book to read, but it's full of words and I'm too tired for it, you know!"

He pouted again, looking more childish this time around. He tried to force a smile on his face. Still, he couldn't find himself looking at Tino face to face.

"I like things to be visual, you know! I learn by seeing... not reading, Tino."

Tino stared at Peter once again for a moment after he had poured all that out.

Then it hit him.

Visuals.

How did he not think of it before?

"...Peter, I think... I have a solution for that." Standing up, Tino felt himself flush a bit. Wouldn't that feel a bit weird? To watch... with Peter? The answer was that it would, but then again, Tino couldn't think of a better way to help him. He didn't know a lot about how two men did it together after all.

"Will you come upstairs with me? I need my computer for this."

"Huh? Oh, all right."

Without knowing what Tino had planned, Peter followed the Finn up the stairs with his glass of milk. Tino wouldn't mind if he brought something to drink, would he? Oh well, he hadn't had the chance to ask.

As they walked down the hallway, he checked to make sure that Papa's lights were off. After all, Papa worked hard and needed all the rest he could get! Peter sipped from his glass as he walked into the room after Tino. He had only been in Tino's room a few times, most of which involved chasing Flower-Egg to get something back.

"What do you want to show me, Tino? I've already looked at some websites, you know! They weren't very helpful! Most of them only tell me to feel out my partner and get in tune or something... I don't even understand, you know!"

He sat on the floor and looked up at Tino surfing the web. He drank his milk, little did he realize that he was about to spit it all out.

Sitting at the computer, Tino wondered for a moment how he had ended up in this situation. Drinking beer and searching google for streamable gay porn (He wasn't going to download that stuff..!) while his younger roommate sat on the floor, looking way too innocent for this, the glass of milk in his hands not helping with the impression.

He's 19. He's been old enough to see this for a long time, he's not a child, he's getting married, it's not like I'm showing this to a kid, I'm doing nothing wrong here... Repeating this mantra in his head, Tino finally clicked the first thing that popped up after searching "gay" and "porn." The gaytube.

Tino hadn't known that a site like this even existed.

After he clicked himself to it and all the... material flashed on the screen in front of his eyes, he couldn't help but jerk his head away from the screen with wide eyes. O-...Okay.

It wasn't that it was shocking, but it was... shocking. It was something strange and new to him, who wasn't accustomed to porn of this kind, and it made him want to leave the page. Especially because there was someone else in the room with him. Oh, right, Peter was there, behind him.

Turning his head hesitantly to see what kind of expression the boy had, Tino suddenly felt something wet and cold splash against him.

And there goes the milk again...

Peter wasn't looking at what Tino was doing. While Tino surfed the web, he spent his attention on checking out Tino's room up close, admiring the different decorations and the strange snake pillow on the bed, and scratching Flower-Egg behind the ear as the puppy slouched over his legs.

He was expecting Tino to bring up some health and safety site on safe sex. He was expecting Tino to pop open a human biology book and read the pages to him. He was not expecting what appeared on the screen. When he finally squinted his eyes to make out the flesh packed against flesh, Peter spit out his milk.

"W-what what is---WHAT! WHAT!" he choked out, scooting away like something was crawling out of the laptop screen. "T-tino! W-WHAT IS THAT... WHAT IS THAT... WHAT IS THAT THING IN THAT MAN'S... W-WHAT IS THIS!?"

It had to be a joke. It must be. Tino, sweet innocent perfect smile Tino would never show him such a cruel thing. Never.
