Sindre eyed the puffin over the top of his book. He swore it was staring back at him. And though getting into a staring contest with a bird was a bit silly, keeping an eye on it to make sure it didn't go anywhere damaging was perfectly acceptable.
They had a puffin now. It certainly wasn't the fish his brother mentioned before, but that wouldn't necessarily be a problem. A bird was a much more exciting first pet, at least. Though a fish would be easier to care for.
Sindre frowned. Had Valdi even planned on buying a puffin? He had taken a quick look around and hadn't seen any sort of feed or cage. And had his brother even spoken to the super about the policy on having pets? Valdi hadn't even spoken to him about the purchase of a bird, let alone whether or not they were actually going to get a pet. It all seemed rather...haphazard.
Although, his brother was still a teenager. Sindre had to admit that he couldn't be surprised that a teenager didn't think something all the way through. Those years were still to fresh for him to begin deluding himself on that point.
Hearing the sound of a door opening, he first glanced towards the other rooms to ensure no one had come in through the windows before checking the door to the apartment. Seeing his brother, Sindre asked, "Do you know how likely it is for it to poop on the couch?"
