If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends.

Who:  Berwald and Sindre
Where:  The Coffee Shoppe
When:  Thursday 29 July, afternoon
What:  There are some perks to being an "older brother".  Today is not the day for them.

Sindre smiled to himself as he took a seat at one of the outside tables of The Coffee Shoppe.  The Charleston was back to normal, it was a beautiful day out, and as of yet nothing had arisen to spoil his mood.  He took a quick glance at his watch.  Good-he had a few minutes yet to get his thoughts in order before Berwald was to arrive.

He had been pleasantly surprised to receive a call to hang out.  Well, those weren't the terms Berwald used, but that's what it amounted to.  Things had been hectic with work lately, and Sindre hadn't even noticed how long it'd been since he'd actually spoken to his friend until this morning.  Catching glimpses of his friend around town just didn't cut it.

Speaking of catching glimpses, Sindre was reminded of his ulterior motive for anticipating their meeting.  He hadn't a chance to truly talk to Berwald after seeing him chained to Tino a few weeks ago.  While Sindre suspected Tino was the one for which he slipped Berwald the charm back in May, he hadn't been sure until he saw the chain.   No one goes that long chained to someone without some sort of romantic, or at least sexual, interest.  He wouldn't have expected his old friend to ever be that forward, true, but people could always surprise you.

And, after all, Berwald was essentially Sindre's younger brother, for all that they lacked legal and blood ties.  Sindre was obligated to ferret out what he could about his friend's love life, especially as Berwald would likely never say anything on his own.  And it was Sindre's responsibility as the older brother figure to tease Berwald about said crush even as he ascertained the crush's worthiness.

This would be a fun afternoon.
