To have the courage to go outside during broad daylight after what had happened oh those weeks ago could only possibly happen if maybe their was some sort of liquid substance backing the young glacier trekker in the days voyage. But being the underage guy he was, no liquor could come into his possession, not as if he wanted it though seeing as how it lead to the embarrassing permanent branding that had been planted on his lower back. Idea of one Logan Mortlock, but the birthday night had been filled with enough liquid courage to practically blur out the entire night with an easing fog til' this day. It's all for the best really ( ... )

Lucy flushed, about to answer Moon's question when she heard a a yell coming from underneath her and she swore she jumped a foot in the air. Cursing in Creole, she blinked at Moon. "Did you hear that?" she asked quickly.

Peaking through the railing, she looked below and blinked at the pair of hands clinging to a sea-salted rusty ladder below her feet. "O-Oh Dieu! How did-" she hung off of the pier a little more, using one hand to keep her on it and hooking a foot just to be careful. "How the hell did you get down there! Moon! Help me!" she ordered quickly, trying to reach a hand down to the boy.

Moon heard that as well and nodded. "Yeah I did." he said, leaning over shortly after Lucy did. When he saw the boy stuck to the ladder, his eyes widened a little. What in the world was he doing there? This late?

Wasn't he cold?

Seeing as Lucy couldn't reach him, Moon got up and down the ladder. The waves weren't as calm as before, but at least didn't wash over them.

"Here." he reached out a hand to the boy. It wasn't that hard to climb up, but maybe the boy was scared or something.

The second he was put down on dry land his legs felt like gelatin as he grabbed onto the railing to steady himself. "T-t-t-thank you." he said between chattering teeth.

Shivers ran up and down his spine as he barely understood the now humiliating situation he was in. He looked like a drowned rat in front of a pretty girl and hell if he wasn't embarrassed being saved by her friend.

"S-sorry I just uh," he stuttered, "I couldn't help but hear your conversation when was stuck down there!"

He had hoped they wouldn't be too mad, "I really didn't mean to..." he tried to explain, between his accent and stuttering it only made him that much harder to understand.

"B-but I jus' couldn't help it, you have such a beautiful voice miss..!" he told the tiny tanned siren.

This boy was definately something else.

Lucy quickly found herself wrapping her arms around him and hugging him tightly in a mixture of wanting to help his shivering and to help steady him. She shook her head quickly. "It's fine! It's fine! You should've called up earlier! Oh God you must be freezing-" she said quickly, starting to pull him along.

"Moon- we really should get him inside somewhere... My house is only a few blocks away," she said, looking over at the other man.

"Oh-" she looked up again, blinking at the soaking wet boy in her arms. "What's your name?"

The boy looked cold indeed. Moon sighed, before he took his jacket off and just hung it over the kid's shoulders. Why was he wearing a jacket on a summer day anyway?

"Here." he said. Better to have something dry than nothing.

At Lucy's suggestion, he nodded. "He'll get sick if we don't. Lead the way."

He blushed furiously at the sudden embrace, "D-don't," he responded, "I'll get you wet.." Trying to remove himself from her grasp Loto tried standing on his own two feet but to no avail. He had no choice but to rely on the songstresses' strength to help him across the pier.

The sudden warmth that landed atop his shoulders had Loto jump a bit in surprise but he then saw it was nothing more then the other man's jacket. "T-t-thanks." he said while wiping away a strand of mucus that began running down his upper lip.

"M-my name's Loto," he said through quivering lips, "I'm s-s-sorry to t-trouble you with my a-ah..!!"

"A-TCHOO!!" a spray of sticky mucus landing across his sleeve as the gooey substance still lead back up to Loto's nostrils.

"P-predicament..." He stuck his tongue out a bit in disgust before trying to wipe away the rest of the disgusting snot with his good, albeit wet, parka sleeve and hand. Loto was definitely not the best charmer...

"O-Oh Loto- you're already sick!" Lucy-Marie fretted slightly, ignoring the mucus and quickly leading the boy down back in the direction of her home. It's not like she hadn't dealt with worse at the aquarium with sick baby seals after all.

"Don't be sorry at all! I should've seen you sooner-!" She looked back, urging on Moon to hurry up as she lead them towards Ocean View. Her conscious didn't let her blame the quickly coming on cold on anyone but herself. If she just hadn't been mopping about feeling sorry for herself this boy would probably be warm and cozy in his own home- speaking of his own home... "Hey- where... Do you need to call anyone Loto? It's gotten really late-"

She glanced back at Moon, fretting again and chewing on her lip. "Damnit- I've just bothered you all with my stupid self-pity party. I'm sorry!"

Moon followed Lucy and Loto, staying about a foot behind them. He heard the boy and figured he'd need quite the warm up when they got inside.

Before following them, he remembered picking with him the milk bottles.

"It's ok, Lucy. It's not your fault. Let's just get him inside and warm."

"A-ah no don't worry about me, it's nothing really..." Loto's tried to explain. It was a rather common occurrence actually, even back home in the arctic. One false step and most found themselves in subzero temperature water, and well, it happened plenty of times to Loto. After a while his body just began to get used to the abuse really. It would start with snot, runny nose and all the usual symptoms, but it never lasted for then a few days ( ... )

The small girl would simply have none of it. She towed along Loto and repeatedly checked back to make sure they hadn't lost Moon as they turned down the narrow, empty streets of Ocean View. "If you keep saying things like that," she informed, "I'm going to start feeling even worse! Loto please... just let me make it up to you!"

They reached a small set of wooden stairs leading up to a door on a second floor in almost no time at all. "Here-" Lucy murmured, starting to carefully lead the boy up the steps. "Watch your step, they're a little narrow."

She dug out her key from a small pocket in the side of her dress and quickly slipped it into the lock, opening the door and motioning for the two men to go inside.

"My parents already left for their trip- you can sit down on the couch. I'll make you both some tea," and with that, she hurried off into the flat, slipping through a doorway. Clattering sounds started to echo through the quiet flat as she pulled out pots and pans, searching for her kettle.

Almost about to let out another "I'm sorry," Loto stopped himself, not wanting to make the young woman any more upset. He made it a point to try and keep his lips sealed at least until they got to their destination.

He had wanted to plop himself straight onto the couch but held back his temptation, the time taken to arrive to the singer's home allowed him to dry a bit but he was still, for the most part, sopping wet. Even if it was from sheer guilt, Loto remained standing, arms and legs still jittering from the abuse they had received in his failed "cleansing ocean" plan.

His eyes scanned the room, idly passing the time just staring at objects as a tiny puddle of water slowly began to form from the drippings of his clothes.

Loto was caught off guard by the sight of the tall friend that offered him his jacket, he had almost forgot that the man was also there. He nervously looked at the Mongolian until he finally built up the courage to let out a muttered, "G-G'day sir'..."

The tall Asian had been quiet the whole walk over to Lucy's. The jacket he'd given Loto was a bit wet, but not soaked so it would still work for the boy.

He looked at Loto, and just gave a smile. "Hey." he said in return.

The couch was comfortable, so he sat back, relaxing and waiting for Lucy to finish with the tea. A quick glance up at Loto first.

"What were you doing under there anyway?" he asked.

"O-oh, uh-" he stammered, not about to reveal his failed plans, "the ocean was just unforgiving today..." Loto tried to look at the man in the eyes when he spoke but every time he found them lowering back down to the ground. He was intimidated...

Maybe he would have pondered further about just why he was intimidated a bit longer if he hadn't just realized the situation he was in. A boy in the prime of his youth, soaking wet, inside a beautiful girl's home strangers home, no parents, and a tall asian man watching them.

The scenario screamed bad rape porno flick, but in Loto's mind it just spelled out trouble. His mind continued screaming to get the bloody hell out of there, and pronto.

"W-well uh, you know what I think I'm feeling just ace now!" play it cool Loto, don't let em' see your legs wobble, nice and sweet so you can get out of there as quick as you can, "Yep, and well my cuz is gonna have my head on a platter if I don't turn up back at the flat so--atchoo!!"

It was just then that Lucy appeared back in the living room, sporting three mugs of steaming hot tea and smiling softly at the two men. "Tea's ready!" she chirped, blinking at the look on the boy's face. "Hey... Loto, is something wrong...? We should get you out of that wet parka-"

She walked over and set the tray on a side table, holding her hands out of the mess. "I think you probably are my dad's size in clothing... Maybe a little smaller- I'll put your things in the wash so you don't have to go back in wet clothes, alright? I can't just let you leave like this!"

"W-well, actually I think I shou--atchoo!!" While his mind said get the heck outta there his body held quite a different opinion. It's warm here, she made tea, there are warm clean clothes waiting, your actual clothes will be dry later, and she's adamant on making you stay. What's the big deal?

Maybe he was overreacting a bit earlier, those were all pretty solid points right there. If he just kept his guard up a bit then everything would be fine.

"U-uhm, ya know what I think I'll take ya up on the offer fer those clothes actually..." he muttered rubbing the back of his neck as he followed her out the living room.
