Tea with a Side of Hermaphorite

WHAT: With Britannia playing Cupid, the two star-crossed lovers find themselves drawn to a fateful date simply by the urge to drink tea.
'When in a crisis, have a cup of tea,' were the words Mummy Ainsworth served with every piping porcelain teacup from the time when her son came in with scabbed knees to his first break up at Uni. Her perfection with loose tea leaves and boiled water from the well in their back yard was unrivaled, even by the most highly-acclaimed tea house in the city of Warsaw, but Dewi had to settled with the most highly-acclaimed tea house in Warsaw, because Green Palace was separated by twenty blocks of pavement and Starbucks shops, and not over two thousand miles of open ocean.
Arthur also neglected to buy Earl Grey during his last visit to market, and he strictly enforced the rule against touching, boiling, thinking about, looking at, or drinking his Twining's English Breakfast. Dewi imagined Arthur without his morning cuppa tea like a man neglecting to put on his trousers upon leaving for work.
Luckily for Dewi, he had remembered his trousers and his pants upon his departure that twilight. The sky burned with an orange bright as a tangerine by the time he reached the stone dragon statues at the mouth of the Green Palace. With a lump in his throat, he noticed the waitress with hair as black as a Raven's feather and eyes brown as the bitter-sweetest of chocolates, but eyes and hair that lacked the charm of the beautiful stranger his heart caught only days before.
He barely noticed his fingers or tongue burning as he absentmindedly sipped away half a centimeter of tea from the elegantly themed pot and teacup that resembled a cherry blossom in the spring.
The steam rose like translucent cobras as he held his breath against the porcelain, afraid that exhaling would cause either the teacup to crack, or his heart to shatter.
Perhaps they were not meant to be.
